    Oregon gets waxed!

A fumble on the their 1st play for what looked to be a 1st down, when Carpenter was crushed by a LB and a Safety at the same time, set up a short field for USC who quickly took the 7-0 lead. Oregon struggled to stop the over the middle pass all game long and then ended up giving up the flats and deep 3rd in trying to cover the middle. The Ducks never caught a break either as this picture will show, he was out of bounds but rewarded with a 42 yard completion setting up the Trojans for a score right before halftime

Before the Mystery Out out of bounds play, the Ducks just missed on an INT! It was this close:

Oregons Offense obviously struggled early and often, maintaining drives and getting 1st downs. When they tried to pass, they found little time and when they did have time, the QB either over threw or had passes dropped. Later in the game Oregon QB, fumbled a pitch that USC recovered, that too cost the Ducks 7 points!

USC flat out beat Oregon up today, Congrats to Escaife (Carolinaeasy)

Back to the Drawing Board for Hokie and his Ducks....

My recap will be placed on the dynasty wire, but it was a physical game and full of hard knocks. USC caught the breaks they had missed in the first match-up, and forced Oregon to execute long drives to score. Outside of an all-out blitz on a fourth and one that resulted in a rocket sweep touchdown, the ducks never had another explosive play.

Up next is a trip to Pasadena for the Grand Daddy of them all.
