The Packers came into this game riding a 7 game win streak. The Redskins won the toss and deferred. Green Bay, facing a 3rd and 1, sensed a blitz by the redskins on their first drive. Rodgers was correct and hit TE DJ Williams in stride for a 66 yard touchdown as he out ran the safety for the score and the quick 7-0 lead. The Redskins would mount drives the entire first half. Their first drive saw them drive down to the redzone. However, Clay Matthews forced 2 fumbles on the drive, the last one recovered by the Packers to stymie the Skins. Just before half, Rodgers finds Greg Jennings in the endzone for what appeared to be a touchdown only to be ruled out by the replacement ref. Booth review was called with 17 seconds left and the play was overturned for a 14-0 halftime lead. Washington fought back in the third but their drive fizzled and they had to settle for a 48 yard fieldgoal. Green Bay came right back and Mason Crosby hits from 31 to put the score at 17-3. In the fourth, Greg Jennings was the recipient of a 6 yard Rodgers pass. The defense would force 5 turnovers on the day and hold the skins to 3 points. The final score was 24-3.
