    Week 2 User Game Predictions

Texas (Coach Max) at USC (Coach Twist)

Texas - Texas has a team loaded with young talent that's not necessarily expected to win now but they can. Gilbert has many weapons with the most dangerous being Malcolm Williams. But he is going to have to be a little more prductive against a more talented team this week. The running game is no slouch either Fozzy Whitaker has already proven to be a force with his week 1 domination.

    Keys to the game:
    - Stop the run
    - Capitalize on turnovers
    - Play solid offense

USC - USC comes into this game a week after having trouble with Hawaii. But the running game got it done for them like what was expected from a Coach Twist team. Matt Barkley will need to get more into this game if USC wants to win.

    Keys to the game:
    - Develop the running game early
    - Keep the game close
    - Keep Barkley confident with easy plays

    Prediction: [IMG] Texas

    Result: Texas 26 USC 21

Nebraska (Coach Beazus) at Florida (Coach Brave)

Nebraska - This is a really good running team with a scary good defense. Last week's match-up can't be much of a measuring stick because of the opponent but I'm willing to bet that if Nebraska has to rely on it's QB they will be in trouble. Also, if Nebraska's very talented d-line cannot penetrate, I think the secondary can be violated except for Prince Amukamara.

    Keys to the game:
    - Keep the running game fueled
    - Cause turnovers and capitolize on them
    - Keep pressure on the QB

Florida - Florida's change to a pro-style offense is risky but may be rewarding. They have a lightning fast runningback with a very balanced runningback that can make plays as well. The question mark is Brantley and how well can he throw to these undersized receivers. The secondary is full of all-stars like Will Hill and Ahmad Black but the front seven will have to play hard.

    Keys to the game:
    - Stop the run
    - Use speed to their advantage
    - Limit the amount of sacks you absorb

    Prediction: [IMG] Florida

    Result: Nebraska 14 Florida 42

Michigan (Coach Bondzai) at Notre Dame (Coach Juggernaut)

Michigan - Very unfortunate start for the Wolverines. Losing Tate Forcier is a major blow to the offense even with Denard Robinson being the replacement. This just means that the running game becomes more critical. Using that with some short easy routes can keep this offense going. The defense is stacked with premier Big Ten talent on the line. The secondary will need to play beyond expectations to give the line time to get to the QB.

    Keys to the game:
    - Spread the field and attack the running lanes
    - Get pressure and sack the QB
    - Use your playmakers to make big plays

Notre Dame - Replacing Jimmy Clausen will be a tough thing to do but the offense will flourish under Brian Kelly. The offense is really high octane with great WRs like Floyd and Rudolf. But a running game will be necessary to limit mistakes and turnovers. The defense isn't that strong other than LBs Te'o and Smith. If a QB gets into a solid grove this secondary could be in trouble.

    Keys to the game:
    - Limit mistakes
    - Keep the offense in rhythm
    - Stay ahead

    Prediction: [IMG] Michigan

Result: Michigan 7 Notre Dame 34

    Week 3 User Game Predictions

Oregon (Coach Cole) @ West Virginia (Coach Hippo)

Oregon - Oregon without Masoli has had to somewhat ditch there passing attack since giving the reigns to Darron Thomas. This isn't necessarily a bad thing because the combo of the speedy QB and RB LaMichael James can still put up yards on the ground. Defensively they have playmakers spread out enough to fill some of the voids on inexperience.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Keep the offensive playmakers fresh
    - Establish the option early
    - Stop the running game before it reaches the second level

West Virginia - Noel Devine, Noel Devine, Noel Devine. This guy is one of the most dangerous threats in college football. Along with him are a solid group of quick receivers than can also make some plays. The defense has a talented secondary and Sr. OLB JT Thomas is a quick and smart player that can hammer some unexpecting ballcarriers.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Get Devine the ball in open field
    - Turn small plays into big plays
    - Force the offense to throw into your secondary

    Prediction: [IMG] West Virginia

Result: Oregon 34 West Virginia 17

Ohio State (Coach Brian) @ Virginia Tech (Coach Frisk)

Ohio State - Ohio State is one of the most talented offenses in the nation. Led by a strong running attack and a athletic QB this is a hard offense to keep from scoring. As good as the offense is the defense is better. From Cameron Heyward on the line all the way back to Chimdi Chekwa is the secondary there are not a lot of holes in this defense.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Stop the run
    - Establish the running attack early
    - Contain Tyrod Taylor

Virginia Tech - Virginia Tech can argue that they have the 2nd best rushing attack in the nation. Combine that with a good passing attack and you have a National Championship offense. The problem lies where the defense is. The middle of the line is strong while the ends leave something to be desired. Combine that with young linebackers and you may have trouble stopping a team from getting to the next level. THe secondary, as always is very strong and athletic.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Rotate fresh backs onto the field
    - Force Pryor to throw
    - Play Beamer Ball

    Prediction: [IMG] Ohio State

Result: Ohio State 24 Virginia Tech 17

Florida State (Coach Knight) vs Alabama (Coach Papa Perry)

Florida State - FSU is a very athletically gifted team with a balanced offense and a defense that uses multiple formations. The offense is lead by an experienced QB that has a receiving corps that seems to only be two deep with talent but only to the naked eye. Jermaine Thomas has had a good start to the season running the ball. The defense is young and led by impact player OLB Nigel Bradham and a good secondary.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Keep the offense balanced
    - Force turnovers
    - Don't get the defense into long drive situations

Alabama - Alabama is running over with talent. Probably the greatest running back corps in the nation grouped with a very intelligent QB and skilled receivers can spell trouble for any defense they face this year. Speaking of defense, they ain't that bad either. From Marcell Dareus all the way to Mark Barron, this is probably the best defense their opponents will play all year.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Get pressure on the QB
    - Establish the running game
    - Control the tempo of the game

    Prediction: [IMG] Alabama

Result: Florida State 21 Alabama 28

    Week 4 User Predictions

Ohio State (Coach Brian) @ Nebraska (Coach Beazus)

Ohio State - This team is really good and could potentially win out for the rest of the season. Saine got 200 yards in his last user match and the defense held Va Tech's running game in check. They play a tougher defense this week but I expect more of the same from tOSU's offense.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Establish the run
    - Keep Pryor confident
    - Get Nebraska off the field on 3rd downs

Nebraska - Florida put it on them more than some expected. But they still moved the ball well and played well on 3rd downs. The defense should be able to contain Saine better than Demps.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Contain the QB
    - Force turnovers
    - Avoid an Up-Tempo game

    Prediction: [IMG] tOSU

Result: Ohio State 20 Nebraska 14

    Week 6 User Predictions

Virginia Tech (Coach Frisk) @ West Virginia (Coach Hippo)

Virginia Tech - Virgina Tech still has one of the top 3 backfields in the nation even if they haven't been producing greatly. I think this will be the week they break open though and rack up some yards against an inferior defense. The defense will have trouble with Noel Devine though.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Keep your backfield fresh
    - Contain Noel Devine
    - Stay away from 3rd and long

West Virginia - Geno Smith is still questionable and Coach Hippo hasn't announced whether or not he'll play. It doesn't matter though because West Virginia's only spark on offense is Noel Devine. The defense is gonna have a really tough time trying to keep Evans and Williams from making plays.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Stop the run
    - Keep the ball in Noel Devine's hands
    - Force turnovers

    Prediction: [IMG] Virginia Tech

Result: Virginia Tech 24 West Virginia 33

    Week 7 User Predictions

Texas (Coach Max) @ Nebraska (Coach Beazus)

Texas - Texas is one of the best teams in the nation when it comes to running the ball. They have a solid stable of running backs that can wear down any defense no matter how good the defense is. The turnover differential is also helping Texas remain undefeated with it being +9 (#3 in the nation). Gilbert has only contributed as much as he's needed to this year by only attempting 88 passes. He's been serviceable though completing 67% of his passes with 13 TDs and 2 INTs.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Keep running backs fresh
    - Stop the run
    - Force turnovers

Nebraska - Nebraska has the talented defense to win this game with playmakers spreaded across the field. Jared Crick and Pierre Allen total 9 sacks which means this team can penetrate and get to the QB. Alfonzo Dennard and Prince Amukamara combine for 10 deflections but just 1 INT. The offense is led by an inconsistent Sr. QB Zac Lee. He has the athleticism to make plays on the ground with options and draws. He also has a great pitch man in Roy Helu Jr who is averaging just under 100 yards a game.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Make plays in the backfield
    - Establish the run
    - Give your QB easy plays to make

    Prediction: [IMG] Texas

    Result: Texas 42 Nebraska 35

    Week 8 User Predictions

#11 Florida State (Coach Knight) @ Michigan (Coach Bond)

Florida State - Ever since that lost to Bama this has become one of the hottest teams going. They have scored 48 points or more in the last 4 games and are averaging just 7 points allowed in the last 4 games. Christian Pondor has a shot to get put back on the Heisman list with a big day here if he doesn't get frustrated and starts forcing throws. The absence of starting running back Jermaine Thomas will be key if Ponder can not get comfortable on the road. The secondary doesn't necessarily play flawless but they don't need to let big play completions happen.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Make smart/easy plays
    - Keep secondary honest with running plays
    - Force turnovers

Michigan - Even though the odds are against the Wolverines, they do have a shot to win, but they are gonna have to do it through the air. Tate Forcier has the ability to win this with smart quick throws and hopefully for Michigan, their WRs are as much better than the Seminoles secondary on the field as they are on paper. The front 4 four Michigan needs to penetrate and get pressure on the QB to force some turnovers. But with te experienced FSU offensive line, you probably still need to send a blitz every now and then.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Pressure the QB
    - Get QB confident early
    - Keep the crowd loud and pumped up

    Prediction: [IMG] Florida State

Result: Florida State 38 Michigan 14 (Bond was on AP)

    Week 9 User Predictions

#14 West Virginia (Coach Hippo) @ #12 Notre Dame (Coach Juggernaut)

West Virginia - The Mountaineers already explosive offense just got even better with the return of running back Noel Devine. He may end up sharing some of the carries with the man who stepped up in his absense, Shawne Alston. The defense is where this team needs to step up though. They are #60 or worse in total, rush, and pass defense. The passing game may need to step up as well.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Play possesion ball
    - Keep the ball on the ground
    - Force turnovers

Notre Dame - Man, this has proved to be a really good defensive team. They rank #2 in total and pass defense and #6 in rush defense. If this team can just cause some turnovers it would probably be the best defense in the nation. The offense is another story, ranking 67th or worse in all offensive categories. A lot of this can be put on the blame of the injury to Michael Flloyd (Hoorah for Bond). But I expect a better showing tan the rankings indicate.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Spread the ball with the passing game
    - Keep the chains moving
    - Prove that you're the #2 defense in the nation

    Prediction: [IMG] West Virginia

Result: West Virginia 10 Notre Dame 6

#3 Oregon (Coach Cole) @ #20 USC (Coach Twist)

Oregon - Oregon is well on there way to what could be an undefeated season. They have a strong running game with LaMichael James. The 3-3-5 defense will have to play lights out against a tough running attack but they have the talent to do what needs to be done.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Establish a strong run game
    - Don't force plays
    - Cause some turnovers

USC - The Trojans have a stiff rushing attack led by Allen Bradford. Matt Barkley could lead this team to a good win if he can cut down on the INTs. The defense will not necessarily have to play lights out but will need a flawless outing.

    Keys to the game:
    - Play mistake free defense
    - Keep the ball on the ground
    - Don't turn the ball over

    Prediction: [IMG] USC

    Result: Oregon 31 USC 3

#2 Alabama (Coach Papa) @ #13 Virginia Tech (Coach Frisk)

Alabama - Bama's Mark Ingram has been on fire in recent weeks. The absence of Trent Richardson has given Ingram more carries and gave an opportunity to Eddie Lacy. Richardson is questionable this week so it will be interesting to see if he will hit the field. The pass offense is expected to crank up the volume for this game annd the defense will be head hunting all day.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Establish a balanced run/pass attack
    - Force turnovers
    - Contain the QB

Virginia Tech - The offense has been rolling on here lately behind the arm of the QB and legs of the running backs. The defense is going to have to play beyond there limits to stay in this game. This team is still trying to shake off the loss to their last non conference.

    Keys to the Game:
    - Stop the run
    - Control the tempo and keep the crowd pumped
    - Make smart plays

    Prediction: [IMG] Alabama

Result: Alabama 20 Virginia Tech 17
