After a tough divisional loss and unsuccessful petition to the league, the New England Patriots received no respite as the Bears rolled into town. With the offensive weapons of Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall, it was a tough task for the abysmal Patriot defense to stand up to.

The Bears were able to walk into the endzone on their first drive laced with two back to back roughing the passer penalties and got off to an early 7-0 lead. Percy Harvin was able to return the kick off about 80 yards into Bears territory where he was tackled and knocked out the rest off the game. The Patriots were able to get into the end zone and tied it up 7-7.

The game continued on a back and forth pace with the Patriots leading 17-13 in the 4th quarter. Malcolm Smith suffered a torn labrum in the 4th qrtr and is out indefinitely. With a weak defense the Bears were able to drive and take a 20-17 lead which led to a crazy and last minute 4th qrtr drive by the Patriots, including a spectacular goaline stop by the Bears.

After tying up the game, Overtime ensued. The Patriots were able to get the Bears on a 3 and out and after one big pass play the Patriots were able to kick the field goal for the win to improve to 4-4.
