This was a battle of Southern Hospitality that turned into South Central Los Angeles with the two premier programs of Georgia battling it out for bragging rights.

The Bulldogs received the opening kickoff and Washean Eally took the 3rd play of the game 69 yards for a touchdown. After Georgia Tech was held to a punt Georgia went right back into pay dirt with a 52 yard pass right over the top of the coverage. GT would not go away though and put together a methodical 12 play 80 yard scoring drive to cut the lead to seven with two minutes before halftime. The Bulldogs were looking to put some breathing room between them, but instead threw a pick-six to make it a 17-14 game with 41 seconds to play.

Georgia QB Aaron Murray spoke to his cousin Aaron Rodgers this week (related by first names only) and he gave him some advice "As a QB, you just need to shake off any bad plays and move forward", which is exactly what Murray was able to do. He picked apart the Hornet defense with 6 straight completions to go up 24-14 at halftime.

With the defenses dominating most of the 2nd half it looked as if Georgia Tech was going to hold the Bulldogs out of the end zone on 4 straight plays inside the 5 yard line, but it just wasn't their day as they were able to force a fumble only to see it recovered by Georgia in the end zone.

    Final score 31-21
