Penn St. gets on the board first with a 4 yd run by Dukes, to cap off a 90 yd drive. After s PSU TD, Ole Miss begins driving at the end of half, only to get tackled at the 1 ( i thought he was in) as time expired. 21-7 first half

Game plan for the second half was to run the ball, as State kept getting 1st down after 1st down, setting up a 21 yd FG. Ole Miss kick strike brings it to 24-14. PSU adds a late FG, after another INT as the QB was getting hit.

Penn State goes into their bye week after wins against Eastern Michigan, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M. Coach Dean was quoted saying, "he's excited of where this program is heading." Bright spots are Hiesman candidate, Kevin Newsome, who so for has thrown 12 TD to 1 INT and Defensive captain, Danton Lynn, who has 5 INT on the year.

Penn State looks to continue success as they begin Conference play with #14 Iowa coming to Happy Valley.

After wins against Iowa and Wisconsin, Penn State heads into Ann Arbor for the anticipated game against Michigan. Our team knew they had to be discipline on defense b/c of the high powered option attack. The D forced a couple turnovers, which ended up being the difference.

Up next, THE Ohio State University.

    #2 Penn State (41) @ Indiana (14)

Keviin Newsome continued his march for the Heisman, going 19-27 360 yards 3 TD's; 9 carries 88 yards 1 TD, as the Nittany Lions rolled the Hoosiers. Defense was strong again pitching a shutout until Indiana scored late in the 4th. However, PSU fumbled 3 times, a problem that needs to be addressed before the season ending showdown with Georgia Tech. A win for Penn State means a spot in the National Championship game, but a loss would be a black spot on a wonderful season.
