I'm going to keep this short and to the point. We have taken the time to play with three sets of slider settings and embarked on a lot of slider discussion and testing over the past several weeks. We have decided to adjust the sliders PERMANENTLY as reflected below. If you have concerns regarding the changes that have been made you may either adjust to the changes and move forward; or decide that the direction of the league isn't for you and request to step down. We are announcing this now so that everyone may prepare and decide accordingly. The adjustments will be effective with the opening of week 4. Thanks for your patience and understanding regarding our decisions.

For those of us (like myself) that don't pay close attention to these numbers, what were some of the key changes?

Speed threshold (47 to 50) and pass def reaction (43 to 50) are back to what they were last year when we had double the amount of INTs. Only difference is now the INT slider is at 30 instead of 40.

Interested to see how the speed change feels, at least it's still early in the season, man.

What is the reasoning behind changing the coverage up? I haven't checked league wide statistics since Week 2, but the passing TD/INT ratio looked excellent.

to make a decision don't we need a better explanation? Are the sliders for week 4 more similiar to last years and have changed drastically from week 1-3 or are they still like week 1-3 with minor changes?Very confused now....

Im cool with whatever settings at this point...but i would like to know you tested out these settings? Not sayin that this wasnt properly monitered but i ask to scrim several owners and noone ever has the time to play. Im just curious where and when this all occured.

I agree, i'm tired of the changes as well and will play with whatever is decided. Not that we deserve an explanation but what was the reasoning for the change and how do these changes compare with what we were currently using?

The settings are a combination of what we've had during the 2012 and 2014 seasons. The actual testing has been performed by the entire league since they have been adjusted with the online CCM.

The changes compared to what they've currently been for 2014 are... speed threshold currently at 47 back to 50 (limits the success of the outside runs and WR separation), RBK to 60 (improves success for inside runs), fumbles remain at 35 as it is currently (you will be seeing the rock hit the turf 0-4 times a game), PDRT to 50 and QB acc to 42 (reduces the QB completion rates of 70-90% we've been seeing), interceptions remains at 30 as it currently is (prevents the high INT rates seen during the 2012 season).

I think Javy put it best that the last three weeks have been more of an arena style football league versus what this league is intended to be. If you are looking to put up crazy offensive stats, then this is not the league for you. The slider settings have been adjusted to keep the league more of a defensively minded, strategist's league versus an aggressor's league which it has become.

So there you have a brief explanation as to why these changes were made. As indicated before, these settings will not be changing. I'm sorry if some of you do not like them as we cannot please everyone. We are doing what is in the best interest of the league as we intend it to be.

I just want the crazy fumbles to stop for my gmen. They have cost me a couple of games. The rest of the sliders felt fine to me.

So, I gave up 28 points in 3 games. Man, that some wild, arena style football.

There is absolutely no strategy needed on these already-proven velcro coverage sliders. I think the INT rate last season proved that. So essentially, this is last season with an improved pass rush and more dropped INTs.

I understand the frustration Juan. My HB with 92 carry had unexpected fumbles as well. Part of it was due to consistency rating, part of it due to good hits, and part of it was due to me trying too much to gain extra yards. Cover the rock and expect the ball to hit the turf from time to time - especially if you're playing a team that likes to hit hard and have high power ratings.

I'm going to agree. Fumbles were a little high. Def pass awareness was a little low. A few point tweaks could have been made. A few....

It's season 1 all over again.

Guys, the fumble slider has been untouched. The 35 setting is what we settled on very early in testing and that's what we have always played with it on in our CCM.

Fumbles really aren't the big issue. They can be addressed, but they aren't too bad.

    Ok then, smartass.

They are a little high, they aren't the main issue at hand.

    Problem?

The cover ball trait is key this year.

That and actually covering the ball before 1v1 hits.
