I played the demo and decided not to go with this game. It doesn't feel anywhere as fluent as FIFA. Yes there are some neat physics but the overall feel of the game flow doesn't feel as natural as FIFA does. For now it's not worth spending $45 on this title.
Let me preface this by saying I am the BIGGEST FIFA head you will ever meet. I mean I have been diehard FIFA since the early 90's and I own every release ever from the series. When the PES 11 and FIFA 11 demos were released last year I LOL'd at PES and loved FIFA's demo. All that said, I am really enjoying PES. I still do not feel like I have every nuance down, but after playing 5 or 10 matches I definitely am picking up on Konami's intent. The game feels extremely organic--I have literally jumped off of my couch 3 or 4 times in amazement after a sick buildup or goal. I say give it a shot---I still feel dirty rolling with PES's control scheme and little differences, but I can admit this game is very solid.
Exactly. Goal's ACTUALLY feel like goals. It's nice to be able to celebrate in real life as well as in game.
Anyone still playing this? I finally picked it up this weekend. I was a mega PES fan for years, but didn't get the last few. However, grabbed this yesterday, threw on an OF and I'm already hooked. It feels more like football than FIFA ever has and scoring is no easy feat. I still enjoy FIFA and think it wins in some categories, but for an overall feel of the real sport, PES nails it with it's pace and realistic CPU tactics.
