FSU dominates, captures National Championship over Fresno St 38-17 This game started out odd for our team as we let Fresno QB Derek Carr go right down the field and get his team into scoring position. We ended up holding them to a field goal. but we knew if they were to continue moving the ball that easily it would be a long day. We got the ball and from there it might as well have been game over. We rattled off 5 unanswered scoring drives, 21 points coming in the second quarter alone. Fresno finally got in the endzone in the third quarter when Derek Carr found WR Isaiah Burse for a 7 yd score. The two themes throughout this game were stout defense and efficient passing. The FSU defense held Derek Carr to just 50 percent passing and fucked up the Fresno running attack to the point they finished with -27 yards for the game. First year starter Jameis Winston was 20/27 with 5 total TD's and took home player of the game.
