    Ole Miss 31
    #25 Vanderbilt 24

Ole Miss opened up their season with a big win at home over an SEC opponent. The Rebels started off the game red hot going up 28-0 and taking a 28-3 lead into the half. Barry Brunetti started the game with only 2 incompletions before the half, 3 passing touchdowns, and 1 rushing touchdown. In the 2nd half though, everything changed. Barry would throw two interceptions, both on the 5 yard and in, failing to extend the lead, and allowing Vanderbilt chances to get back into the game. The Commodores did get back into the game, but couldn't get the one stop they needed when they cut the lead to 7, and allowed Ole Miss to run out the clock. It was a big win for the Rebels, but they did lose start running back Jeff Scott for 3 weeks in the contest.

    Brunetti 29-35 394 3 TD 1 INT

Laquon Treadwell 8 Rec 118 Yards 1 TD

Coach Fuzzy entered his first game at Mizzou at home against an FCS school. Fans were quite worried about their new coach, with their team trailing the lesser school 21-14 at the half. James Franklin looked terrible with 5 picks in the first half, so the coach didn't hesitate to put in Maty Mauk. Mauk threw a TD right before the half and set the tone. The Tigers found some rhythm in the second half, ripping off 35 points behind the arm of Mauk. He ended up with 5 TDs and 2 INTs, and the future starter for the team going forward. Next week the Tigers face Arkansas State.

Manziel Turnovers lift USC over TAM
    Wilds rushes for 131

Jadeveon Clowney may have only had 3 tackles all day against the Aggies, but he made his presence felt from the get go. On the second play from scrimmage, Clowney leveled Heisman Trophy-winner Johnny Manziel, forcing a fumble.

That fumble would turn into points as Connor Shaw would race around the right side for a 15-yard TD. Another Aggies turnover, this time an INT, would be returned for a 46-yard TD giving the #8 Gamecocks a shocking 14-0 lead over the #4 Aggies.

But the Aggies would show up in the second quarter, scoring 13 points. The Gamecock defense did a great job bottling up Manziel through the air, keeping his receivers out of the endzone and forcing 2 picks. Manziel ran roughshod through the Gamecock defense on the ground. But Manziel would put the ground four times with the Gamecocks recovering twice, including one in the waning minutes of the game to seal the road upset.

GG RynoAid Got very fortunate with those fumbles.
