Clemson Beats Florida on Senior Day

    Tigers Down Gators 35-31

Clemson, SC- Death Valley was full of orange on Saturday as the #14 Florida Gators came to visit the #21 Clemson Tigers. For the Clemson seniors it was a celebration of all they have brought to the Clemson football program.

It was a tale of 2 halves for the Clemson football team. They jumped out to a quick a 21-0 lead before letting the Gators score 28 unanswered points and take a 28-21 lead with 4:00 minutes left in the fourth. The Tigers moved down field quickly and scored a TD to tie it up when DJ Howard broke off a 43 yard scamper. Howard had a beautiful spin move that left a Florida defender grasping at air, and then outran the rest of the defense for the TD.

Florida responded with a FG to take a 31-28 lead with 1:25 left on the clock.Tajh Boyd led the Tigers downfield quickly and efficently before finding Martavis Bryant on a deep out to score from 22 yards out with :21 left on the clock to give the Clemson seniors a win in their final home game.

The win keeps Clemson in the hunt for a 10 win season, and will hopefully send them up the rankings instead of down. The Tigers also had 5 of their 7 remaining targets in vsiting on Saturday. The coaches hope that with them in attendance for such an exciting game they will be ready to pull the trigger this week. Coach Trey said, "We set them all up with our Clemson Cleat Chasers, got them all laid, and let them meet the students that would be writing their papers and taking their exams. Hopefully the tits on a stick and little asian kids convinced them Clemson is the right place to be."

Clemson will take on the South Carolina Gamecocks next week in Columbia. Tension and tempers will surely be high, hopefully the only fight is on the field and between the whistles.

FSU brings it against South Carolina
The key to winning this game was to establish our run game against the very good Dline of USC. Clowney was held relatively in check and we rushed for over 200 yards while holding South Carolina to just 50. Freshman QB Jameis Winston continued his solid season finishing with 99 yds on the ground and 2 scores in addition to a score threw the air. We had hoped this game would have put us above #2 Fresno St but they are still undefeated and we are within a few decimals of passing them despite our one loss.

This year for the Cowboys has been hit/miss. There were high highs, such as beating TCU on the road, and there have been low lows such as the pathetic showing at home vs Texas in the snow. But all that aside, the one game the Cowboys wanted more than anything was the game against Oklahoma. A win against the in-state rivals would make this topsy turvy season all right. On senior day, with 21 seniors playing their last game in Stillwater they got the job done in a 30-9 win.

Despite it being senior day, it was a sophomore who had a big impact on the game. Jimmy Bean set the school record for sacks in a game with 5. The defense as a whole played lights out holding the Sooner O to just 266 yard of total offense. On the flipside, the #1 defense in the country gave up 341 yards of offense.

The game looked to be an offensive game, as the Pokes would strike first on a 60 yard bomb in what looked to be a breakdown in coverage. The Sooners would respond back with three to end the first quarter 7-3. In the second, the Cowboys stall on their drive and settle for three. The defenses would tighten up for the rest of the quarter. The hafltime score would stay at 10-3 because of an apparent lack of time management.

In the third quarter the Pokes would add two more scores (58 yd TD Pass, 22 yd TD Pass). The 4th would be rather quiet as the Pokes would add two field goals and force two interceptions. The Sooners would add a score late with the game well in hand.

With the win the Cowboys are 8-4 (6-2, 4-1). A bowl bid is likely, but the Big 12 title bid is in flux.

You wore me out. GG. I dig some digging and my RG is out for the season and the backup was starting. Even though he's a 79, he's the one who gave up all 5 sacks. This score is actually pretty realistic for when OSU decides to bring it.

Texas wins 4th straight with victory over a tough Texas Tech squad 37-24. Tech fought back from a 14-0 defecit to make the game extremely competetive in the 2nd half. In the end the Texas defense was able to force the Raiders into a one dimensional offense by shutting down the run early and causing some turnovers that allowed Texas to get an early lead.

The Texas running game was in full gear even without Daje Johnson STILL on the bench recovering from injury. Jonathan Gray had another 100+ yard game in his place and the Longhorns rushed for nearly 200 yards as a team.

The win vaults the Longhorns into a projected Holiday Bowl matchup #14 Oregon after a 2-5 start, while Tech looks towards the Meineke Car Care Bowl...
