It was a tough day for Drew Brees and co. today inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Brees would turn the ball over two times, which both led to points for Philadelphia. Brees threw a costly interception right before the half which led to 3 of the Eagles 24 points. He finished the day 9 of 18 for 135, 1 touchdown, and the two interceptions. Michael Vick was no Joe Montana on the day either. Finishing only 7 for 13 for 80 yards and a score. He did however play like a field general throughout the day and he never turned the ball over. Lesean McCoy was definitely the difference maker in this one for the Eagles. McCoy carried 20 times for 124 and a score. The Eagles would end up eating clock toward the end of this one and that was the ball game. Eagles go to 4-4 on the season and atop the NFC East. The Saints fell to 3-5 on the year and will get ready for a huge divisional match-up against the 5-3 Atlanta Falcons.
