COACHES' CORNER: (Coach Herman Edwards sits down with Coaches & Owners to get a state of the Franchise)

NYJ's owner OMlawdog & Rex Ryan sit in with Philly's own HH!

    1. Geno Smith ... MVP, Rookie ... Coach, with such success in his first year what's the ceiling on this kid?

If he stays healthy, and we add a solid running game and maybe one or two more weapons for him, he could be really, really good. He is only 22 years old so he could be pretty good before it is all said and done.

    2. With the first ticket punched to the AFC Championship what has been the biggest contributor to the Jets recent success?

Defense has started to play better, and Chris Ivory has really balanced things out on the ground. Getting Santonio Holmes back on offense has been a big help as well.

    3. Can Geno run the table? Still some tough battles to be had, will Geno be the Superbowl MVP?

Way too early to tell. I was extremely lucky to beat Philstyle3005 during the regular season so that rematch is not one Im looking forward to, I have no idea who the Bills are playing, but I'm rooting for that team.

Thanks Coach OMlawdog , next up we have owner HAL9100 and his Silver & Black Raiderssssss!!!

    1. Owner
HAL9100 after going 0-16 and firing Dennis Allen, what direction and philosophy would you like to adopt? New Scheme, position changes?

Dennis Allen was pretty close to running the ideal offensive and defensive scheme that we'd like to run, but he and his staff just didn't know how to develop and/or scout players. With all of our poor and young talent, we need a coach that can find better players and then develop them and our current players into quality players before we worry about other things.

    2. With the number 1 pick in the '14 NFL Draft, what prospect(s) or what position are atop of the Raiders draft board?

We already know who we'll be taking as long as we're able to attend the draft. No spoilers on who specifically, but it won't be much of a surprise.

    3. With 3 QBs currently on the team, will we see the same boys suited next year for the Silver/Black?

Matt Flynn is likely on his way out. He would've been cut already, but we're unsure why he has a bonus still attributed to his contract when he was acquired via trade from Seattle. They should've ate his bonus allowing us to not get any cap penalty by cutting him. Tyler Wilson struggled at times but he showed his value this season and could be turned to again next season if needed. Terrelle Pryor is a solid #2 or #3 option for us. Never hurts to have a mobile QB ready to go if injuries pop up.

Thanks to the owners who participated in this segment of Coaches Corner!

The Lions travel West to San Francisco to see who will advance to the NFC Championship! The Lions are riding an 8 game winning streak behind the arm of M. Stafford. Colin Kaepernick has struggled in big games and is struggling to shake the term "game manager". Frank Gore does have the pleasure of running behind 3 Pro Bowl offensive lineman, which will have their hands full with N. Suh & N. Fairley in the middle. S. Tulloch is quick to tackle the ball carrier with his 103 tackles on the year.

Keys to success, the 49ers must keep the Lions honest on defense. Colin can do that with his rushing/throwing skill set. Keeping Megatron highlighted with safety help will also be important. The Niners linebackers corp has the playrec to watch Bush out of the backfield.

The Lions must apply pressure and score often, Colin does not like to go score for score, allowing the 49ers to hang around till late in the game allows bell ringers P. Willis and E. Reid a chance to be the game changers they really are!

Lions knockoff the favorite 49ers, 37-30!!!

Drill Sgt's Power Rankings LITE: TBA

With the conclusion of the 2013 regular season we've seen plenty of turnover in owners, coaches and possessions of the pigskin! TMFL 25 Season 1 MVP honors go out to Geno Smith QB, NYJ!
With 4320 Yards passing (39TDs) and 688 yards on the ground (11TDs)
Geno proved all the doubters wrong, and will shoot to the top of Fantasy Football boards next year.

Award goes to two teams this year, the Denver Broncos & New York Giants. They both went 8-0 at home which is quite the feat in today's game! Great job coach I Peench and Masler , your shirts are in the mail!

AROUND THE LEAGUE IN 60 seconds...

Bengals Fire Marvin Lewis, Raiders kick Dennis Allen to the curb, and the Falcons give Mike Smith walking papers. Redskins coach Mike Shanahan retires after suffering from health conditions. Jimmy Johnson has left the Fox Sports booth with hopes of coaching at the NFL level once again. Geno says Rex will be getting a new tattoo to cover the #6 of M. Sanchez. Rex was also coach of the year, and changed focus from defense to offense, while ranking #1 in total yardage. Racking up 72 TDs on the year or 37.9 points per game.

The TEXANS bolstered the #1 overall rated D! The Broncos lead the league in takeaways while the Saints and Jags tied for the most giveaways with 44. All Day smashed Eric Dickerson's single season rushing record, Sliders/restrictor plate passing had no effect on the AFC Greats with Geno Smith & Ryan Tannehill leading the league in QBR with 116 & 115 respectively. First year lineman C. Glenn (BUF) and L. Joeckel (JAX) got a big welcome to the NFL while being beat for 17 sacks. D'Qwell Jackson had a great year with 117 tackles and 7 interceptions. Patrick Willis also did his thing, registering 118 tackles while also forcing 10 fumbles! Antonie Cason seen a lot of balls being on the opposite side of P. Peterson, and made teams pay, snatching 9 interceptions and deflecting 13 balls.
