As you all should now be aware, there is a glitch in the system that prohibits teams that have traded for a player on the last year of their contract from resigning or franchise tagging that player during the next off-season. In order to correct this issue, we are asking that no one bid on the following players:

    - QB Tony Romo (Vikings)
    - TE Aaron Hernandez (Chargers)
    - QB Joe Webb (Cowboys)
    - LG Charlie Johnson (Cowboys)
    - DT Corey Peters (Lions)

*NOTE - If you bid on one of these players and they sign with your team, you will be forced to release them immediately and take the cap penalty.

The team (in parenthesis) will be required to pay what the player is asking for, in terms of contract length, bonus and salary. If it is found that the team has underpaid for the player that they originally traded for, they will also be required to release them and take the cap penalty. I would hope no one in this position would do such a thing, but if they do, Randiesel75 may need to hold a separate auction for that player once the off-season has been completed.

    Thanks,
    JSimms

I know Craig Brown offered Hernandez so may need him to confirm that he saw this thread.

You can cancel your offer correct? I can't remember if there was an option for that. But if not, sources have already confirmed that Hernandez is planning on doing whatever he can to remain in San Diego. I mean, Saint Louis is tempting but Hernandez said that he just bought a house overlooking the ocean and he loves the fans (I know, cliche! They always say they really love the fans but is that ever really the reason a player decides to play somewhere???)

You can add DT Corey Peters to that list. He was traded to Lions, but I think the lions have a new owner now so it might not have been known.

You have to hit the RT until you go to Negotiations. It will bring up all of the players you have made offers to

I already botched it and dismissed the free agent offer task thinking it would cancel my offers. Hopefully Hernandez will refuse and this will be a lucky lesson learned. Thanks for the help though.

Who the hell rejects an offer to come down to sunny Miami. I mean, Bang Bros is filled on location.

If Hernandez goes with Miami, when he drops him will he show again in the free agent draft or should he wait until after this FA signings section in order to drop him? I think JSimms mentioned something about players disappearing when dropped from teams in certain situations..... What exactly is the reason for that and what is the best plan of action for yogibear to drop him if he goes to Miami? I paid Hernandez over market value (a little over what he was asking for) so hopefully he remains a Charger. If not this is going to really suck for yogibear depending on what he paid him in guaranteed money..... yogibear what did you offer him? I would be willing to try to make sure I out bid you and pay a little extra if I have to in order to help you out.
