Not allowed. I have never played in a ncaa league that allowed it.

I think it sould be allowed in GL and inches situations. The FB dive is so money that there isn't a counter for it unless you get lucky.

Ban FB dive in those situations and I'm fine with no run commit.

I could live with 4th and 1 or less, because as Ramesuthe1 pointed out most plays are somewhat money no matter how strong the DL. However, anything more than that - 4th and 2+/HB Inside Zone, QB sneak or FB dive can be stopped without resorting to run commit.

I'm not going to make a big deal out of it, but it's just so glitchy and over the top in it's execution. Ultimately I'm good with what everyone decides and this is the last I will talk about it regardless of the outcome.

Yeah I should have kept my mouth shut, because I probably saw it only 5-6 times and it never worked. I just hate it, but if I'm in the minority then so be it.

Maybe a good compromise is only on 4th down? Or only 4th and 2 or less? Will leave it up to the commissioner's infinite wisdom.

9/10 I pass commit because I thought it helped with pass rush but after I quit doing either in our game is when I started slowing you down.

Pass commit from my experience does nothing for the pass rush. What it does is auto drops guys on the snap of the ball to guard against the pass. If you call a run when someone pass commits it should be a automatic 5 yards or more as the DL/LBs just get crushed. I use pass commit sparingly, I mean it has to be 3rd and 15+.

Seems were pretty split between banning it and allowing it on 5 yards or less . So here's what I'll do .

It's only allowed on 3rd or 4th down with 3 yards or less to go and anytime the offense is within the 5 yard line .

As with anything it should be used in moderation and not become a staple of your game plan . In my opinion more than 2-3 times a game is a bit too much. I trust we all can police ourselves and that this won't become an issue. I'll add this to the rule thread tonight .
