Are you for or against limiting players to choosing teams rated 5 stars or less?

  1. For: Let's give the CPU a chance and not touch the 6 star teams

  2. Against: I want to play as a 6 star team.

If we rule out the 6* would a straight up team draft be in order?

I would say so. If we go with this, we are probably going to have to start from the begining with picking conferences.

I have a feeling that we might not go with the Pac-12 if we go this route. The Pac12 and the ACC are probably my least favorite conferences. I would rather see the Big 12 or the Big East

Big East Big 12 and SEC would make it interesting. A little east coast bias.

They will be in '12 season so we could add them in for the first Season.

Could also make recruiting a little more competive with most everyone east of the Mississippi

TBH, if JC didn't want MSU so bad, I would really push for everyone to start off at a 3 star program to make the recruiting even.

If we had the big east to choose from, and no one was going to even take a 5 star program, I would take them. There is still a huge difference in the recruits between a 5 star program and a 3, that it makes it difficult to play with them.

I know but couldn't resist. I would be interested in USF, Pitt or maybe even Syracuse.

I'd definitely prefer conferences with CCGs.

I can go either way with this, I would like to see what guys top's are now that 6 star teams are probably going to be out of the question. It sure does change what teams I am looking for now, but like I said before I don't want to take a 3* team if we have a bunch of guys going after 5's.

How about this Idea, lets take this a step further and only go 4 star max on programs.

What do you guys think? This would make the CPU even more relevant.

The thing I like best about this OD as compared to others is that it's a "play as a team you like" dynasty. As a finicky person when it comes to liking teams combined with being low on the totem pole of when I get to choose my team and now with you guys removing even more teams for me to choose (the last of the 2 remaining teams on my board would both be removed with this latest suggestion) is making it extremely difficult for me to pick a team with which I can live.

Opening up other conferences would help, but it's becoming very difficult for me to find a team that I can use.

I wouldn't be opposed to having a completely open structure here. JC will have full control of scheduling so there will be no problem with user games during the season. Plus having guys in more conferences means more user bowl games. IMO, I would rather see that than user CCG's.

If we're spread out across the country, then it makes the conferences much less meaningful. You might not agree since you're an ND fan, but I think the battle for the conference title is one of the best parts about college football. Duking it out with 2 other users to go to the CCG and then having to beat 1 more user to win the title is what an OD is all about. Getting into a BCS bowl (ideally the NC game) is just the cherry on top. If we were to spread out throughout the conferences and I only have to beat 1 user to win the conference, then that'd suck IMO.

I like the idea of not using 6 * teams, and limiting them to 4* but the draft deal I dont like. I really, really want to play with South Carolina and I dont see me getting them if we do a draft. Thats my biggest deal with the draft

No, I don't want us spread all over the place. I think 3 conferences is a good balance. The PAC 12 is set up nicely for this, IMO, with one 6 star in each division.

Big East is full of rebuilders, similar to the Big 12. If we wanted those conferences, but still wanted a CCG, we could just add a team or 2 and split them into divisons with the CCG. Im just spit-balling here, so dont shoot me.
