PG Damian Lillard Nolan Smith Ronnie Price Overview: There was a little disagreement on draft day between HC BBJ and GM Neil Olshey when Olshey passed on Barnes, but after a strong summer league Damian Lillard has made BBJ a believer. Lillard looks to become the best Blazer point guard since Terry Porter and has the tools to do so. Nolan Smith will be his backup, but coach bbj thinks the best lineup may be when they both are on the floor. Nolan proved in last years baseline that he can be a big factor. SG Wesley Matthews Will Barton Elliot Williams Overview: Wesley Matthews is the starter by default and with the news of Roy's comeback HC BBJ wish's Paul wouldn't of been so trigger happy with that amnesty clause. Coach BBJ would like Elliot Williams or Will Barton to step up and take the spot, but it will take time for Barton to adjust and Williams seems to be a feather away from a major injury. SF Nicolas Batum Victor Claver Luke Babbitt Sasha Pavlovic Overview: Some people may say Batum was overpaid, but coach BBJ says he's a bargain. Batum proved to be one of the best players in the baseline last year and should be only better with Lillard taking some attention. Claver comes over from Spain and brings some athleticism for a 6'10 SF that will be fun for Coach BBJ led offense. PF Lamarcus Aldridge JJ Hickson Jared Jefferies Overview: LA is coach BBj's best player with a great fade and the ability to knock down long jumpers is one of the hardest players to stop. Hickson who came in and played well after joining the RL blazers will back him up. Coach BBJ can't wait for the Lillard/LA pick and roll game. C Meyers Leonard Joel Freeland Overview: Leonard comes in replacing the huge disappointment Greg Oden and all he has to do to not bust is play. Leonard comes in with alot to learn, but how many big guys can do a between the legs dunk? Freeland comes over from England and looks to help with the process. Freeland brings another decent shooter to the post. Overall overview: The Blazers will have some growing pains ,but i think the blazers have the talent to be a contender out of the gate. The blazers have a team on paper that coach bbj likes, but it will take time to find the right rotations. With alot of talented coaches in the WC it will be a fun challenge for a young Blazers team.
