Guys take a look at your rosters/players leaving and new incoming recruits and tell about your potential position battles heading into Season 2!
The Clemson football team is losing a few key components to their team. The question is who will step up and take the reigns!

QB: Taj Boyd is graduating, these are the three competing for the job

    1. Soph Chad Kelly. 84 OVR Kelly is a fast QB with 87 THA and 84 ACC, he spelled Boyd a few times this year and proved capable.

    2. SR Cole Stoudt. 83 OVR. Stoudt also is a fast QB and displays 87 THP and the experience that comes with being a senior

    3. Chris Campbell. Campbell comes in as the highest rated QB in the land. But will that be enough to win him the roll as a true freshman?

RB Roderick McDowell is graduating, these are the two RB's battling it out

    1. JR DJ Howard. Howard was very productive spelling McDowell. He had 656 yards rushing, AVG 4.2 YPC and scored 9 TD's.

    2. Soph Zac Brooks. Brooks saw no playing time as he was redshirted. Brooks is an interesting option for Coach Black as he has amazing SPD 93 and ACC 96. He could win the job.

    Season 2
    Position Battles
Senior Zach Mettenberger creates a huge need as he prepares to leave for the NFL. 3 Quarterbacks will be competing to start season 2.
    • Redshirt Sophomore and younger brother of Phillip Rivers, Steven Rivers looks to be the head honcho for the LSU Tigers next season. The most developed of the group and only one with experience this past season should be able to transition into the starting role. Although his numbers aren't enough to evaluate, they seem to be pretty good. 20/26 for 236 yards and 2 TDS with 0 INT. Steven has a nice arm(86 THP, 83 THA) and has the best advantage measuring at 6'8.
    • True Freshman Anthony Jennings is one of Rivers' competitors. He is a little quicker with almost the same throwing abilities. If he can improve over the offseason he could have a chance to jump Rivers.
    • Another true Freshman, Hayden Rettig, will try to take the job from Rivers and Jennings. He has the arm strength of Rivers(89) but he doesn't have the accuracy Rivers possesses.
Sophomore standout Jeremy Hill will return as the starting running back for the Tigers but he has some fierce competition to outlast.
    • Jeremy Hill rushed for 134 times for 858 yards and scored 7 touchdowns. He is a very strong runner but not that fast. He could start but might lose a lot of time to some very interesting incoming freshman
    • Kenny Hilliard is another bruiser that resembles Hill. He rushed 129 times for 962 yards and had 9 touchdowns. Look for him to see a lot of short yardage plays.
    • The #2 HB in the nation, Gerard Bryant could see a lot of clock in his freshman year. Some are speculating that he could very well take over the starting role. A very elusive and fast runner that will give defenses nightmares for years to come.
    • Of course, the #4 HB in the nation Tim Muhammad will try to get his share of reps in to show off his talents. I don't think he will be able to crack much clock this season. Look for him to redshirt.
The wide receiver position isn't the greatest and it isn't much to scare a defense. We lose 2 seniors in James Wright and Kadron Boone.
    • Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry are the "potential" starters to begin the season. The most experienced players would be ideal for this offense with a brand new quarterback. Combined, the 2 had over 900 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns.
    • Trevin Duvall is a redshirt Freshman from Abbeville, LA that could get some nice playing time. 6'2 180 and quick. He has trouble getting off the line of scrimmage so that could slow down his ability to get on the field.
    • The #1 receiver in the nation, Larry Gardner from Cedar Falls, IA commits to LSU. He has the potential to start in a few years but I don't see him beating out seasoned vets that have pretty much the same ability.
    • There are a couple receivers that are on our radar that could very much challenge for the slot position if they happen to commit to us. Stay tuned because this could help the offense out!
