    Taj Boyd, Clemson

ACC defenses, allow me to introduce you to your biggest nightmare, Taj 'Mahal' Boyd. In his team's 42-10 win over Maryland to open their season, Taj was simply outstanding, going 15-23 for 277 yards and 3 touchdowns. If Clemson is to be successful this year and get back to the ACC Championship game I expect to see plenty of games like this one for Taj.

    Honorable Mentions:

    (1) Tyler Bray (Tennessee): 15-28, 262 yards, 3 TDs
    (2) Bryn Renner (North Carolina): 23-40, 365 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT

    Washaun Ealey, Georgia

In a game where they were supposed to be playing the #5 team in the country in Iowa but instead made them look like a bunch of scrubs, Ealey was the pick of the bunch for this supremely talented Georgia squad. Ealey finished the day with 18 carries for 172 yards and 2 TDs. With a big time SEC showdown against South Carolina coming up, could Ealey provide the spark on the ground to open up the pass game for Murray?

Honorable Mention: Mustafa Greene, NC State (20 carries, 164 yards, 2 TDs)

    Alshon Jeffery, South Carolina

After being shut out in week 1 and only being thrown to once, the media started wondering if Jeffery made a mistake in coming back to South Carolina and if he was going to have a year to remember. Well, week 2 shut up alot of those critics as Jeffery took out his week 1 frustrations on a poor UCF secondary that at times simply refused to cover the all-star receiver. Ending the day with 8 catches for 203 yards and 2 TDs, Jeffery certainly left his mark on week 2 of this young season.

    Honorable Mentions:

    (1) DeAndre Hopkins, Clemson: 5 catches, 123 yards, 2 TDs
    (2) Travis Benjamin, Miami: 7 catches, 139 yards

    Kevin Reddick LB, North Carolina

Reddick stole the show in week 2 as the Tarheels needed overtime to beat a stubborn Georgia Tech team 29-22. Reddick accounted for 13 tackles on the day and was the real heartbeat of a team that relies on its defense to win football games. Congrats on one hell of a game Reddick!

    Honorable Mentions:

    (1) SS DeVonte Holloman, South Carolina: 6 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery.
    (2) Corico Hawkins, Clemson: 8 tackles
