Offensive Player of the Week HB Octvious Hardy28 Car, 225 Yards, 3 Rush TD, 2 Rec, 16 Yards After a tough week one loss to the Cowboys in which the Jets QB Matthew Stafford threw 5 interceptions, Coach Forever was intent on getting back to ground and pound in week 2. They did exactly that as HB Octvious Hardy was a workhorse, carrying the rock 28 times. With touchdown runs of 72 and 62 yards, Hardy helped spark the Jets offense against one of the better defensive teams in Hard Knocks. In the end the Colts just couldnt over come the ground attack and the Jets (1-1) pulled out a big time win. Defensive Player of the Week CB Jimmy Smith5 TCK, 2 INT, 1 Defensive TD The Ravens were another team that suffered a heartbreaking loss in week 1 (they lost to Indy in OT). They allowed QB Anthony Anderson to rack up 338 yards against them and improvements on defense was a must. Week 2 against Pittsburgh was step one in that process and CB Jimmy Smith played a huge role in it. Putting the defense on his back, Smiths 2 INTs (one of which was returned 76 yards for a TD) were key as the Ravens (1-1) knocked off the Steelers.
