Offensive Player of the Week HB Gary Frederick29 Car, 270 Yards, 3 TDs Week 7 brought the 4-1 Browns to Oakland in a Game of the Week showdown between two early contenders. It was a game many thought would be a complete throw down and it didnt disappoint. After going up 21-0 early in the 2nd quarter, Cleveland would finally mount an offensive bringing the game to a 28-14 half time deficit. Cleveland would ring up 21 more points in the 4th quarter to tie the game late and send the game into over time. Midway through the over time period, Gary Frederick decided he had played enough football for one day. Frederick would score from 30 yards out to end the game and send the Browns home losers. Frederick beasted through the Browns defense tallying 270 yards and 3 touchdowns on the day (touchdown runs of 56, 59, and 30). Defensive Player of the Week CB Mike Jenkins2 TCK, 3 INTs After struggling out of the gates, the Cowboys had ripped off three straight wins coming into Week 7 versus the struggling Patriots. This matchup was huge for both teams as the Pats were looking to end their losing streak and the Cowboys were looking to extend their winning streak. Despite a first quarter that featured little offense, the Cowboys came out firing in the 2nd quarter. After stringing together 21 straight points, the game would go into half with the Pats down 21-10. Dallas would add another Ryan Mallett touchdown to Dez Bryant in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead. The Patriots tried to make a late push in the 4th as they rallied for 14 straight, but in the end Corner Mike Jenkins big day was too much to over come for the Patriots. Jenkins would intercept 3 passes swinging the momentum to many times for the Patriots to overcome and leading his Cowboys to victory.
