For those who are new to the league and for those who have been with the league and just can't remember; for M25 we handled free agency by using an unorthodox "waiver" claim type of system. M15 does not have a waiver system designed into the CFM, so we will be using the same practice to kick off FA for M15 as we did for M25. Here is an example so that you may get (re)acquainted with it now and plan accordingly...
Just wondering the reasoning behind the minimum roster size being so low. Owners who choose to circumvent the spirit of the salary cap by being far below the the 53 man roster size is something that has always stuck in my craw. I can understand maybe having 52 or 51 as the minimum, but 48 is almost a 10% cushion. Real NFL teams always have 53 players on their rosters.
You know...I was trying to think of a good reason to give you for the 48 man minimum...and the only thing I could come up with was that we have always had it that way (going back to 12th Man, PMFL, etc). But really, there is no reason not to require a full 53 man roster at all times. It will require all of our owners to be that much more diligent with their salary caps. On a personal note, I have pretty much always carried a full 53 and usually struggle with the last few cuts to get there, because I want to keep everybody, lol.
I'm always the same way, those last 2 or 3 spots are the toughest. "Should I keep a crappy developmental player or someone that can help me right now? " Thanks for the response
It's gonna be hard to get to 53 for me....My Skins are out to prove EA wrong, may have to carry 5 HB's...I like Redd and Seastrunk! decicions decisions.....I like the 53 man rule, just my pennies in the pot
LOVE a 53 player minimum. I always keep 53 and totally agree, the last 3 or so cuts are like pulling teeth!
Only time in Madden 25 that I had less than 53 was after the stadium rebuild when my owner funds took a nose dive to red for season after season. Even still I was desperately trying to get as close to 53 as possible.
You'd be surprised. Why do you think we have all of these damn rules? There's always somebody pushing the envelope.
