Premier spot in TF: The Experience

    Everyone,

Currently in The Experience we are in week 10 of season 2. At the end of the season we are going to lose one of our long standing members. Due to that unfortunate fact, we are looking for candidates to replace him.

We are looking for people who are active and good natured. We do a ton of arguing, so we need someone who can engage in discussions without losing their cool. I personally think it is a fantastic league, not just because I am involved with it. The group of guys are passionate and fun.

We are using teams we are interested in (mostly fan favorites for each of us) and we may have a member who wants the team that is being vacated. I prefer someone who can fit into the existing conference setup (Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, ACC). If someone really wants another team, I AM open to the idea but you will be cannon fodder for out of conference scheduling.

Anyway, if you are interested please PM me. The member will be decided by league vote. You must be a premier member or become a premier member to be considered. Open premier spots are pretty rare, so act soon.

    Shaun

Everyone can change perception...but you can't be considered if you don't apply.

Man I've been trying to get back in the E-League since it started. I would like to throw my name in for consideration.

Wish I could, brother. Too bad I had to go and buy a PS3 when my Xbox crapped out. If I bought another Xbox (which would have probably crapped out again six months ago) I would have jumped at this opportunity.

You just have to find a 360 with the new "jasper" cores or whatever.

When mine took a dump I did some research to ensure that I got one with a "new" core that doesn't suffer from the same problems as the old ones do.

I have followed up on any research since but I haven't had any problems either.

How do you check to see what kind of core your 360 has? I had a launch one, but had to send it back due to the RROD. I assuming Microsoft sent me one with the right core, but am wondering if I can check.

    1. It used to be listed on the older boxes (which I doubt you still have)
    2. The wattage use is lower, so the Jasper units have a lower watts number on the power brick
    3. Call Microsoft

Sorry, I know this thread has gotten way of course. But, I've been thinking of getting a new 360. I've had mine since March and have had no issues. So maybe this is a bad idea. However, the two options that appeal to me are the 1) Kinect ready capabilities, and 2) quieter running console.

Shaun, I assume you have one? Is it really much quieter?

    Yes.

If you install to the hard drive (250 GB!!) there is virtually no noise.
