    Well Ill start it off

I was impressed with pitt4life21 WRs and his S Clark who had a diving interception to seal the game.

As for me Hurns was 16/24 and 2 TDs but had 3 ints. Nearly led the Boys back.

Also I was impressed with the rookie FB Okoye Aristotle ..and the FA pickup HB Jerious Norwood.

good game redwings8831 good luck the rest of the year

Early on this one looked like a shootout but the Pittsburgh defense were able to get bearings on the game.
Rookie CB Reginald Baker was welcomed to the NFL, Stafford loaded up and bombed one to Calvin as the rook was burned but made the tackle to save a TD.
First round MLB Bryan Latta led the Steelers with 5 tackles, tackle for loss and he had a sack.
Rookie WR Dominick Bowles had 6 receptions for 96 yards along with reaching the endzone.
Jonathan Dwyer looked like a back the Steelers want to feature with Mendenhall being on the block for over a year now, 13 att 108 yards with a TD. He picked up 56 yards after first contact and a long of 45.
Rookie Allen Barber for the Lions completed 10 of 25 for 126 yards.
    Zero turnovers for both teams!

    312 Offense 517
    44 Rush 167

    Bills 30 Chiefs 24 OT

I was impressed with HB Jamal Charles of KC
#1 overall pick Kian McKenzie only attempted 1 pass
RT Sam Ackerman impressed me as a blocker
Finally got to see what WR TJ Graham, 81 yard TD reception, can do
HB Toby Gerhart impresses with a long, 76 yard, TD run
HB CJ Spiller over 120 yards, and the GWTD run from 45 yards out
All 3 Bills HBs had TDs

Oddity in game KC was up 14-7, 4 seconds left in half, in gimme FG range, maybe 21 yards out. KC goes for the TD and gets sacked as first half ends. The missed opportunity was difference in game, because Buffalo needed FG to send game into OT, would have needed TD if KC goes for FG to close first half.

    My draft picks of note

6th round pick WR Terry McFadden led the Bills with 3 catches
3rd round pick RT Sam Ackerman had 1 pancake block
1st round pick Dejon Eliann had 3 tackles
5th round pick LE Byron Deen saw some good PT on defense, in various DLine positions
7th round pick FS Leo Dyles saw PT on special teams
4th round pick LOLB Sione Johnson did not play.

This was a strong game by the Texans.
Mallet throw for 86 yards and a TD to Amendola.
The first round pick had 2 receptions for 34 yards and played really well.
John Parker Wilson threw well in 2nd half with 9 completions for 64 yards and a TD.
Texans had some key INTs but I think the reason we played well is because we had zero turnover.

Good game BobJr good luck the rest of the year.

    Atlanta 14 - 24 Dolphins

    - QB Zac Robinson got 98 percent of the playing time at the position. He had a bad game but it was a good learning experience for him. ( 11-23, 177 yards, 2 TD 3 INT's )

    - TE Visanthe Shiancoe impressed everyone with 2 receptions for 48 yards

    - The Rookies played exceptionally well:

    • WR Josh Boyett: 3 receptions for 26 yards
    • LOLB Kalik Turner: 5 tackles (2 for loss) and a pass deflection. Led the defense.
    • LE Devonte Byler: 3 tackles (1 for loss)
    • CB Andrew Orr: 2 tackles for loss and a pass deflection
    - Overall, Coach Copeland was very pleased with his group playing in a hostile stadium in Miami

    Dolphins 24 - Atlanta 14

Miami was very pleased with the results from MJD as he rushed 7 times for 56 yards in 1 Qtr of action.

MJD backup always performed well rushing for 80+ as well.

The New WR also performed very well as did the Rookie DB's.

Overall the Miami staff was pleased and realized some tuff cut decision lay ahead.

Good Game Cole Copeland good luck this season.

    Raiders 21 @ Jaguars 35

The rookies for both teams really shined in this game.

    Jaguars

1st round pick RB DeRay Ray - 5 att. 18 yards
2nd round pick RB Tobias Bray - 6 att. 57 yards
2nd round pick CB Brian Kimble - 1 tackle, 1 pass deflection
    3rd round pick QB Bradford Barut - 4 for 4, 69 yards, 1 TD
    4th round pick QB Jordan Mata - 1 for 1, 76 yards, 1 TD
7th round pick SS Dejon Mahone - 96 yard INT return TD

    Raiders

1st round pick TE Bryan Zabal - 4 rec. 66 yards
? round pick RB Josiah Harris - 7 att., 33 yards

The real story around town in Jacksonville is the QB competition. Returning starter Blaine Gabbert, incoming FA Chase Daniel, and rookie QBs Bradford Barut and Jordan Mapa are all fighting for the starting spot and the race is wide open. In addition to the rookie QBs stats above, Chase Daniel went 5 for 9 for 60 yards and 2 TDs. Gabbert only went 0 for 1, but the Jags were looking to test out their new RB while he was in the game. While Gabbert was much improved at the end of last season, the Jags management were very impressed with all 3 new additions.

    Redskins 33 vs. Panthers 13

The Redskins came out swinging and Robert Griffin III converted a 71 yard touchdown run on the first possession of the game and the Redskins never looked back. The Redskins were very pleased with the overall play of their team and had a few newcomers contribute to the success. The main position battle to watch will be starting HB with Roy Helu Jr., Evan Royster and Rookie Roderick Smith out of Tulsa all competing for the job.

    Rookie Impact
WASH RB Roderick Smith 17 carries for 134 yards (5th Round Pick)
WASH WR Dyron Orr 2 catches for 37 yards, 1 TD (2nd Round Pick)

Very excited about Sam Jackson. He looks really, really good. I don't know about my OL because I have no idea what was going on with them as far as substitutions. Overall though the offense looked great. Defensively my depth was exposed as my secondary was torched. I have to admit though, on a few plays i had WR's covering WR's. Overall Im still weak in the secondary.

Offensively, Issaac Pead had a great showing going for 130 yards on about 15 carries, and he also looked great coming out of the backfield. Steven Jackson also looked good in his limited touches. I have to admit Bradford looked great with Jackson and Henderson at the WR's and Lance Kendricks at TE. Definitely can put some points up on the board this year.

I was disappointed with the play of my DL, but a lot of that had to do with substitutions. Overall very happy with the way we competed with the Packers.

Vikings win 30-10 over the Tennessee Titans.

Joe Webb got the most playing time and threw for 151 and 2 TDS.

Rushing wise, AP went 5-54, Slaton 9-36 and Todman 6-29.

Receiving, Stephen Burton had a great game with 2 receptions for 77 yards and 2 TDS. The newly acquired Gator, Louis Murphy had a TD grab too.

Rookie MLB, Orlan McCurley, from Illinois lead the team in tackling with 4 tackles. He also recorded a sack. D'Aundre Reed and Letroy Guion had sacks on the day. FS Sergio Brown make an interception.

Travis Davis in his first game 6 rushes 30 yards with 2 broken tackles and 14 yards after 1st contact

CJ had 3 rushes 75 yards 1 TD

WR Dominique Jackson had 4 rec 55 yards 12 YAC
WR Nolen Evans 1 rec 4 yards

    Adam Riley 0 sacks allowed
Jerome Stackhouse 0 sacks allowed and 1 pancake

CB Harris Madru could only muster up a deflection

Not much time with 1st stringers but CJ looks to like Adam Riley in at Center as he was running harder and broke multiple tackles and maintained balance to take off and score.

WR Adam Jones had 1 catch for 14 yards, but only played the first quarter
CB Jamal Williams looked good at corner, only surrendering 2 catches, he had 1 tackle and missed on another tho

Very pleased with FA aquisition Tim Hightower who is silencing critics with a 200 yard 3 TD rushing performance. He will spell Deangelo Williams from time to time

The Redskins escaped a preseason battle with the Falcons by a score of 20-17. Washington was very happy with its first string offense and defense and has high hopes for the upcoming season. Rookie HB Roderick Smith ran for a 51 yard touchdown in the first quarter. Backup TE Niles Paul also had a big game and was the leading receiver for the Skins. Great game by Cole Copeland and the Falcons.

    Falcons Preseason Week 2

    Falcons 17 - 20 Redskins

    - Coach Copeland was very pleased with his Rookies.
    • TE Josh Boyett had 3 receptions for 82 yards
    • WR Aaron Graham had 2 receptions for 67 yards
    • ROLB Jake Downes led the team with 6 tackles ( 1 for loss )
    • LOLB Kalik Turner had 3 tackles ( 2 for loss ) and an assisted tackle.
    - Veteran Corner Brent Grimes had an interception
    - FA pickup Nate Kaeding had a not so great game, missing 2 costly field goals that could have been a deciding factor in the game.
    - Overall, Copeland was very pleased with his defense and said "if we can get our guys on offense and special teams to perform like I know they can, we will make alot of noise around the league."

    - Next week, the Falcons face off against cadepetty247 and the Jets

    Vikings defeat the Eagles 37-0.
Ponder was 3-3 for 41 yards today while Joe Webb continues to get the most playing time so far. Webb threw for 92 yards and 1 TD but also threw an interception.
AP ran for 32 yards on 4 carries, Slaton was 7 for 27 and Jordan Todman rushed 6 times for 118 yards and 1 score.
Not much receiving wise as 7 guys caught a pass. Louis Murphy grabbed another touchdown for his 3rd of the preseason. Orlan McCurley lead again lead the team in tackles this time tied with Tyrone McKenzie. McCurley stood out though with an interception and a fumble recovery. The rookie is really impressing the staff and fans. He is looking to become the starting MLB. Harrison Smith and Jonathan Casillas both returned interceptions for touchdowns.

    Preseason Week 2 Thoughts

Titans win on rainy road game vs Patriots with big push from 7th round rookie
    35-17

    Rookies

RB Travis Davis shines as he gets an increased load at running back. He broke off big run after big run and had a huge day going 14 rushes 123 yards and 2 TDs both from goal line

WR Nolen Evans gets 1 catch for 31 yards. Titans haven't seen much from him on the stat sheet but he has only been targeted twice this preseason and has caught both.

WR Dominique Jackson gets only 1 catch to follow up 4 from week 1. He is in good shape to make the team as he makes plays after he catches.

C Adam Riley again gives up 0 sacks

LG Jerome Stackhouse yet again proves his strength as he gets another pancake and allows 0 sacks

CB Harris Madru gets another deflection but gets beat in other attempts

    Everyone Else

Kendall Wright would get a 41 yard TD
    Wimbley would get 2 sacks
Zac Diles looked great stuffing the run
    CJ couldn't ever get going
    Locker 5/6 103 yards with 2 TDs

Dolphins Nips Bills 20-17 in Week 2 of Pre-Season
HB MJD saw very limited action carrying only 4 times
HB Lamar Miller rushed for 154 yards on 14 carries one of which went 74 yards for a TD
S Quincy Anderson making his case for more playing time with a game sealing Int
Overall the younger plays played well and showed significant improvement from week 1
The staff will be looking closely at each position during week 3 game at Denver as critical cut decisions will be made

    Jacksonville QB Position Battle Update
After Preseason Week 2, the Jaguars QB battle has changed drastically. QB Chase Daniel was looking like the odd man out and was shipped back to the Saints in exchange for a 7th round pick. QB Jordan Mapa got the start in Cleveland and played the entire 1st half. In the 2nd half, the Jags intended for their other rookie QB, Bradford Barut, to get all the snaps. However, Barut was sacked in the 3rd quarter and suffered a broken collarbone. He will be out for 6 weeks. Desperate to get looks at their rookies, the Jags brought Mapa back in for the rest of the game rather than playing the incumbent, Blaine Gabbert. Gabbert is not out of the running at all though despite not playing. The former 4-man battle though has now turned into a 2 horse race between Blaine Gabbert and Jordan Mapa.

First whether or not it was a game winning TD, if Orton hit that final pass, I would have given him opening day start.

Second, Sam Ackerman, 2 pancakes in 2 games, still is impressing on the oline. Also, WR Terry McFadden had a nice td catch as well. Pressure from rookie de Byron Deen led to a fumble forced by Chris kelsay that was recovered by ty Warren. First Round pick dejon eliaan had 4 tackles and currently leads team in tackles.

    How about those Bengals?

1 non-sim, Dalton goes 5-5, Green has a 40 yard catch, McFadden runs with a 5 YPC average, Bennett leads the team in receiving from the #2 TE position, and they hold OnIowa's Redskins to a just late 4th quarter TD.

    Jets 31 - 38 Falcons

    - Matt Ryan went 5-8 for 90 yards, 2 TD & an INT
    - Michael Turner ran 4 times for 83 yards and a TD
    - Rookie TE Josh Boyett had yet another great game. He caught 4 passes for 71 yards and a TD
    - Two receivers had a TD catch of more than 70 yards. Kerry Meier had a 96 yarder and Kevin Cone had a 76 yarder.
    - Rookie LOLB Kalik Turner led the defense with 5 tackles and his first career INT

Coach Copeland was pleased with the way his Offense finally stepped up and played to their potential but said that the Defense needs to be more consistent
