Attribute wise there are a lot of player over the 90 OVR mark so it was hard to come up with a list. As games get played we'll see which players play to rating and which were bloated.

Damn I wish I hadn't left Notre Dame...I had a sweet recruiting class and I was about to rock the Greenies against USC when I left.

I really hope Peterson performs well this year. As a 96 ovr junior he only brought in 6 picks. A down year for sure.

Floyd looks like he'll be fun to throw to. Looks like the kind of guy who just catches everything. I may have to learn how to play the MLB, also, so Te'o can try to repeat on those awards.

Is it just me, or does it seem as though only 1 or 2 WR recruits know how to catch? They're all C- to D hands. Ridiculous.

What's everyone's season high for interceptions with a single player?

Clairborne is #2 CB and Peterson is #1 CB.

Only user in top 25 INT list that isn't a CB is the Iowa player. He is a SS.

That's an impressive CB duo. Is Clairborne also a SR?

Bowers is a beast. It's nice being able to play straight-up and still get pressure on the QB.

I also recruited a 5 star CB last season and have already signed a 5 star CB this season. Should be good depth in the secondary.

I may get a 5 star FS as well to add to the secondary.

It certainly helps. I seem to find myself in a lot of base packages because I'm too scared to single up on the outside. And both my top corners are graduating, and their backups are rated in the 70's. I'm actually looking at juco kids, which is something ND never does. I could have used one of those five-star recruits.

I feel you Arch, that secondary scared the hell out of me last year. I wiffed on a couple of CBs and that really set you up for the mess you have now.

The guys in the 70's will be in the 80's by next year, and they'll only be soph's, or a soph and a rs-fr, so things look good for the long term, but for now, I might spend some of my +5 recruits taking chances on rs-jrs. Typically, these guys come in rated much higher than freshmen, even if they're star rating is lower. It's realistic for a juco kid to come in and play right away, and I'm pretty sure the game is refectiong that by making 3 star juco kids higher rated than four star true freshmen in many cases, the same way FBs (who are never four or five star guys) still manage to come in fairly highly rated. FB's are never big recruits, even when they're really good, hence the lower star rating.

This is a good way to build programs if you can't get big recruits. Get juco kids who are rated lower star-wise, and take advantage of their higher ratings overall. Get them on the field, get your star rating up, and then start knocking on bigger doors.

    Here endeth the lesson.
