Gary Patterson has been relieved of his duties as head football coach at Texas Christian University. He will be replaced by up-and-comer Art Vandalay. The changes will be effective immediately.

Patterson has been the target of an internal investigation at TCU. Allegations surrounding whether or not he is "actually Christian" have taken their toll on the coach and the team. People close to the situation are certain that Coach Patterson will be taking some time away from the game, but will undoubtedly have other opportunities.

Coach Vandalay has spent a few years as an offensive coordinator and will bring a new brand of football to TCU. Gone will be the balanced offense and 3-3-5 defense that have been stables of the Patterson era. Vandalay is certain to install his version of the Air Raid Spread offense as well as bring multiple defensive fronts. "Casey Pachall is a great quarterback and will thrive in this system," says Vandalay. "Too bad he's a senior."

    More coming soon...
