This is more of a question that a claim.

Has anyone heard of a progression glitch with any of the rookies in the CCM? I drafted QB-Ladarris Vaughns. Some of you may be familiar with him, he's a superstar developer 1st round talent, but for some reason he's not gaining much XP at all. For instance, I just threw for 210 yards, 3TDs, 1INT, and went 15/16 passing in his rookie debut. That got me 1400XP. It may be worth noting that he had a terrible preseason, throwing 8 INTs/6TDs, but I don't think that has any affect here.

In previous years, that type of statline would have gotten me in the ballpark of at least 3-5K in progression, and that was with a normal progressing QB. Not sure, but something isn't right.

Any thoughts, rumors, or facts of any glitches that affect rookies or any particular players? Sort of sucks, since I mortgaged some players just to get up to this pick and now he's sort of a developmental flop, rather than a superstar.

It's possible. But what would be the point of him being a superstar development player, only to develop less than a 9 year old girl.

All your progression/XP Gain is based on goals. His goals may be different than what you're used to seeing. There are also modifiers (like the superstar development trait) - and also the QB coaching XP pack that also could be to blame. Just because a guy plays the same position as another guy doesn't mean their goals or XP gain will be the same.

    Exactly.

Higher drafted guys have higher goals.

How exactly would the QB XP Boost package and superstar development be to blame? If anything, those would help him progress faster, right?

BTW, he has both of those.

I see the "developing like a 9-year old girl" went over some heads, thinking it was literally related to football.

The coaching package is purchased by the coach for the position, not by the player. I'm not saying they're to blame more so that they're a variable that you may/may not have been accounting for.

As was stated, he probably just has different expectations/goals.
