    For MANDATORY cuts ONLY, just post whether they are Over/Under cuts, and what their overall is after progression/regression. The top 20 overalls on your team can be found on your team's cap book online on Google Docs. Look there and please post that average, along with all the numbers in the top 20, here before listing cuts. Like so:

    Lions average of top 20 (no K or P): 80.9 (round up to 81 per rules)

    Column 1
    Top 20 Overalls
    89
    86
    85
    85
    85
    83
    82

    80
    78
    78
    78
    78
    75
    75
    75
    Average: 80.9

    Lions cut as mandatory cuts:

    DT Ndamukong Suh - 85 overall - ABOVE average
    DT Sammie Hill - 75 overall - UNDER average #1
    WR Nate Burleson - 78 overall - UNDER average #2

    Reason you do not need cap numbers here is because they have no cap hit for these cuts.

    For cuts to get down to 48 players for draft, you post these just like you would ANY normal cut. So put position/player/overall/base salary/bonus/modifier/total salary. For those that need me to hold their hand, though....lol......I guess I don't mind:

    Lions cut as mandatory 48 man roster cuts:

    Column 1
    QB Brady Quinn 71 $500,000 $50,000 3 $1,650,000
    HB Kevin Smith 80 $600,000 $100,000 4 $2,800,000

    Also, once we get to this stage, please make sure that you are now posting new caps after cuts, including cap hits, just like normal.

    It would be posted before mandatory cuts. Obviously, there are no cap hits for retirements.

    Excellent question, Web.

    If im not mistaken, we have to be careful when we look at the capbooks top 20 average becuase the averages will be different after the progression and retirements after the season is done. Just be sure if your getting your average from the capbook that they have updated your sheet with net seasons overall and roster.

    Ox - the top 20 is taken after progression. So once we have updated the cap books, the top 20 there will be correct and used for mandatory cuts.

    Ok guys, we learn something new everyday don't we. :)

    We discovered today that there is a no Depth Chart in the Offseason. Which of course messes things up for the Mandatory cuts only. Based on a conversation earlier we have three options to fix this, all of them require us to redo the top 20 for teams, except option three.

    Apply an "Assumption Clause" to all position changes - Which states that if your player goes up or down durign the offseason, you must apply the same up or down to the ovr of the currently held position.How they would do it is for example Darnell Dockett became a DT for me so his Progress would look like this

    DT Darnell Dockett 94 (OrgPos DE rated in Season 4 94 ovr Season 5 93 -Minus 1 point, Rated 95 DT after change, Minus 1 point)

    They can see the Original Ratings in the Position Change thread, and can make the declarations accordingly.

    For myself Dockett is the only position change that affects my top 20, but my cuts are still valid even after the one point difference. However this will work differently on other players like Washington for me See Below

    ROLB D. Washington 73 (OrgPos MLB rated in Season 4 70 ovr Season 5 76 - Plus 6 points, Rated 67 ROLB after change, Plus 6 Points)

    As we can see here due to the change he is rated lower than it is on my board now, he wasnt top 20 anyway so it does not affect me, however, other teams may be affected.

    Also another quick reminder is to factor in all trades based on this number for positin trades (That is what Win told me last week) for Example when I trade Dockett it will be as a 94 DT not a 93 DE :)

    The only teams that need to worry about this clause are those who have already had position changes, HOWEVER, know that for here on out, you will have to deal with the same provision for all position changes :)

    The Following Teams are affected:

    @DJDunn6
    @JerseyTank
    @BRUCE80
    @CALi BUCC
    @carolinachaos82
    @greeeeeeg2008
    @Winuvas
    @sdunlap
    @webllink21
    @CoachWest

    Based on the position change thread your team has made soem position changes, please update your Pro/Regression liek above and resubmit, if you have any questions please ask Winuvas otherwise HAVE A GREAT OFFSEASON!!!
