    Guys ive been doing some thinking on some things i would like to implement in year 4. I really need some input from every coach on this.

    Since there are a few of us that are participating in the Sim-Nation Dynasty i would like to adopt some of their settings.

    First Recruiting Rules
    Since we are all starting to move up in the coaching game its time to start setting some recruiting rules.

    No swaying players to stay


    • A = Coaches may only sign three players of five star rank per year.
    • B = Teams may sign up to 75 total players, and may cut down to 68.
    • C = Players of four star status and up MUST be kept on the roster.
    • D = Coaches are responsible for players who commit without scholarship offers.

    Sliders
    I have played on these guys sliders set and i think they work really well. They have 2 sets. One for regular season and One for Bowl Week. Bowl Week sliders are tougher because bowls should be tougher than the regular season

    I think we should be allowed to sway certain players to stay. Its not that big a deal if we aren't allowed to but in certain leagues there are restrictions on who you can and can't allow to sway and i think that works best. The restrictions are usually as follows:

    A player will not be allowed to attempt to sway a player from the pro draft if he:

    * is > 95 OVR

    * is a JR that has won the Heisman
    * is a JR or SO(RS) and has won a major award (Thorpe, Maxwell, Biletnikoff, etc) and is > 90 OVR

    Kickers and punters can be swayed from pro draft regardless of OVR and class.

    Just throwing this out there as a suggestion.

    Ya I agree with Zikry. With those restrictions it allows you to sway some plays and not sway others that in RL would pretty much be gone for the draft without a second thought. Sliders look similar to ones in my other dynasty so no real complaints there. Looking good so far!

    I am down with this. The Sim Nation sliders are tough really tough but we have some really good players in our league that I think are up to the challenge.

    Using Zirky's suggestions on the swaying of players works for me. We can implement that + recruiting rules + sliders for year 4. Myself and a few of the other guys have played the proposed sliders and they are legit. They will bring more of a challenge to our dynasty. We can actually implement the Bowl Sliders for our Bowl games this year if that sounds ok with you guys .
    And the recruiting rules will take effect once we hit the preseason of Year 4

    I love everything in here but i think that myabe the 5 star limit should be 7. And that is one thing we may not have to worry abut anyways because it will take some time before we are able to sign 7 5 stars but whatever works with yall im fine with.

    We can go with 5 - 5 star limit. "I honestly dont think that we really have to worry bout the 5 stars at this point but its good to have it in place"


    So does everyone think its a good idea to apply the Bowl Sliders once we hit bowl week ?

    I like the sliders it makes the bowl games more interesting when you play the cpu, however i do not like the recruiting rules for the simple fact that i suck at recruiting on this game. In my sim-nation dynasty i am florida state in year two week 6 and have yet too sign a recruit, i started with lots of five stars on my board and have watched them drop like flies due too the fact that i cannot offer more than three scholarships too 5 star recruits. This may not be a rule issue as much as it is my inability too recruit.

    I think you could offer as many scholarships as you want, but then revoke them after you have three recruits commit. But I'm no expert.

    You can offer as many as you like but with my luck i will sign 4 in a week then be put on probation.

    I honestly don't think the recruiting wil play that big of a factor. I don't see any class of 5*s beating down our door anytime soon.

    As far as the slow setting goes its worked well with those sliders but we can always change the time to 7 and normal speed if u guys want.

    Im a bigger fan of normal speed tbh but im good with whatever everyone else is comfortable with.

    FYI -

    We're actually playing the bowl game sliders this year during the regular season. We just never changed them back from the bowl set. Also, I think the User QB Acc might be a tick higher than this set says. I'd check them against the current settings to be sure, but I'm not near my system. When you guys get a few games in, let us know how they work out.

    We can go with 7 min normal speed setting and well still use the regular base set listed above for the regular season and the bowl set starting this bowl season

    If the sliders play well at slow, that doesn't mean they'll play well at normal. My guess is that if they are hard at slow, they'd be extremely difficult at normal speed.

    all of it looks good to me, i like the recruiting restrictions
