I can't dispute that, you are right. You have your own interests and tastes, as does everyone else. All I am trying to say is you writing there is "nothing else to do" on ps4 besides play games is funny on two different levels. If I came off as a fanboy dick, I apologize. my turn: I was really excited about RYSE, it looked awesome. The graphics are awesome. Then I read and watched the reviews this morning .
Agreed. Not sure why all the territorial stuff goes on. It's like hating your neighbor for driving a different car.
Ryse looks nice. I'll be honest, I haven't turned on my Xbox 360 since I hooked my PS4 up except to watch ESPN. That said, I miss the SHIT out of Kinect. My routine when I come home was turn on TV, turn on Xbox, yell at Kinect while getting changing out of my work clothes.
To interact with the UI. My daughter uses it instead of the controller. From bootup on 360 you can do this: Say "Xbox, Recent". Say "Xbox, Netflix". Say, "Xbox, Next List/Previous List/Show More/Show Less" to navigate. Say, "Xbox, Play/Pause/Stop" to control. It's pretty powerful and for a kid far more intuitive than "Press X". I've gotten to the point I don't use a controller unless I'm gaming.
i honestly really like the ps4 UI compared to the ps3's. just something about it, dont know what it is though. i have been having a blast with Lego Marvels, very fun, and my son and i having some laughs etc. i forgot to post this here, as i did at OS. i had a damaged UPS box. huge hole in the side/top. i took a picture, sent it to Amazon, then called right after and complained. they gave me promotional credit after a 30 minute conversation. i seen on Sunday morning people were getting a lot more back with boxes with far less damage. i called back, lady was very nice and pulled up my previous complaint etc. i said i would like to be compensated more for the way the box arrived and now im suspect about how my Xbox One will be handled this coming Friday. i was put on hold and within a matter of minutes she came back and had sent an email for $407.94 refund. it was all added back to the gift card i used to pay it off. she also credited me for the Lego game as well, $60 bucks etc. all in all i ended up with around $487.94 back for the way it was shipped. i NEVER expected to get a full refund at all. i was calling back in hopes of an extra 30 to 50 LOL. what are the best kind of next gen systems? free ones.. ha!
Never used it for 360 so tomorrow will be my first go at it, sounds good. Can you give it custom commands? For instance can you ask it to play specific genres of music as opposed to saying "Xbox play music" ... like play hip hop, play R&B? Serious question.
It'd be G if while you had your lady over you could say "Xbox play some smooth shit" and boom slow jams start playing .... ball game!! HA HA.
The first thing that stuck out to me is the incredible improvement of the interface. The party/chat system is much better than PS3 and you don't have to quit games to enter all the menus. As far as games, I've only played Call of Duty and NBA 2k14. Call of Duty doesn't feel much different than last-gen to be honest. The graphics are a bit more crisp at a distance but other than that, I think it's a pretty poor first effort. NBA on the other hand is spectacular. They inexplicably took out create a player and playoff mode, though. Also, the menus are clunky are you can't seem to save roster files to your console (any help here?). Other than that, the game is remarkable. The players feel and move much more realistically and seem to have "weight". I think the game plays pretty well right out of the box on All-Star difficulty. I could use some roster/jersey updates, 2k! I'm really glad I took the four hours to wait in line at Wal-Mart to get this sucker. Once MLB: The Show comes out I'll probably go into hibernation mode.
Ok so am about at my wits end with my Xbox One , it keeps crashing me back out to the dashboard even when playing offline games. PS4 owners , gimme some final positives and negatives from your experience so far with the console & online gaming. I mostly do everything online which is my main purpose for having a console. I would use netflix on either console but that is about it aside of gaming and TSO leagues.
Honestly, I'm super impressed. I never owned a PS3 and was XB to the core, but I just liked the PS features more after tons of research. Cheaper, online interface is smooth as silk, controller is amazing, streaming out of the box. The design is sleek and clean.....looks great in my entertainment center. Also looking forward to playing some of the exclusives....particularly MLB the Show. I do plan on getting an XB eventually, but for now, I'm VERY happy with my decision.
