HAL9100 CxMacx10 shiftee Zikry controllerabuser G_T_G guayo10 Cole Copeland Blaza bandit3324 The PS4 version does not have match lobbies. Compounding this issue is, similar to the PS3, semi-assisted controls are not actually semi-assisted in online friendlies. For those that dealt with this issue in the early days of the PS3 league, are there any workarounds? We can move ahead with "semi-assisted" controls, or move to manual passing while leaving the rest of the settings the same, although this makes the game a bit more difficult (and from the sounds of it, led to the demise of the XBox FIFA league on the last generation of game consoles). Ideally there's a workaround similar to lobbies. Open to ideas...
I have never played in any FIFA leagues so I have no idea. I'm open to anything. The game is so sweet and smooth! I am ready to play!
Personnel and leadership had a lot more to do with the XBOX demise than manual controls did IMO. As a FIFA player since the original FIFA International series, I was a big proponent of semi for the longest, but manual just feel like a better, more organic game to me now. Finishing is tougher, but passing in general is very rewarding and there is less accuracy (obviously) which leads to more realistic gameplay.
Manual passing controls would be my preference as well, but am open to input. We don't have to go full manual.
I probably don't understand the issue well enough to give any sort of valuable input. But if I'm understanding correctly, you're saying our options are essentially to use full assist or full manual passing and otherwise everything is fine/similar to how the PS3 league is run?
I just tried manual and liked it as well. I only completed like 65% of passes, lol, but there was a nice freedom of being able to put the ball where I want it. Now if only I could figure out how to make players go get the ball rather than just stand around and look at it.
Having trouble even installing the game. I got a code to download it form the store and it seems to work correctly but then when I go to play it opens a game (where you can play while it installs) and it never seems to get finished installing. Does it just take an insane amound of time to install or what?
I don't have experience with anything other than the hard copy of the game, but installation was less than five minutes.
Yeah, I downloaded NBA 2K to see what that was like and it was just a play now game with 2 locked teams until it was fully installed. That was like a 50 GB download too since game sizes are much larger now. Not sure what it is for Fifa. That's the one thing that has been deceptive marketing about the new systems, iyam. Being able to play a play now game is not the same as having full access to the game as they implied by saying you can play the game while it's downloading. Just out of curiosity, had you finished that game? IIRC, I think you have to play that game before getting to the menu....and I'd hope it's no longer an issue at this point.
You know, I had finished a game before that and it did not work. Last night, I played through another one and it started working randomly.. so I am not sure what the issue was or what I did to fix - maybe I did just need to play through again.
PS4 in the house!! Now I just have to get FIFA. I'm headed out of town, but will be back on New Year's Eve. I'll get the game by then.
Hadn't checked my stocking yet. Santa loves him some Frenchie!! FIFA is in my possession. Still headed out of town today, but will be back early next week.
I got a PS4 for XMas - Have not bought FIFA yet. For those that have it, how much better is it on PS4 vs PS3? Im debating whether to just keep the PS3 version and play that out or jump over here
