Nice, Hate to say, but I have been on the wrong end of a few of those....and have been told that I was still new, and didn't understand the rules, that some of that was legal
yeah that's why twitch and being able to broadcast/record games will be huge in the upcoming season. Easy way to settle disputes when we can have replays of the play and full matches and so on.
Thanks very much for finding and posting this for me. Once I get PS4 and FIFA 15 I'll start playing games with everyone on here and will try to apply what I have seen and read about.
Everybody needs to watch these. Especially the new guys to TFS. It doesn't matter if you have been around in TSO for years. We have rules that need to followed. I would highly suggest for new guys to play some friendlies against some tfs veterans , so you can get used to the gameplay.
Ok, I am a little confused. 1) Was this one of our World Cup games? If so, why do the things you say not to do? If this was just an exhibition for the sake of making this, please disregard. EDIT: disregard this as you mentioned it was for education's sake. 2) Is it not the responsibility of the GK or defenders to keep the ball moving? In no way should a keeper keep the ball at their feet long enough for it to be stolen. I understand kind of with the defenders, but even then- when I watch real life soccer strikers tend to keep some sort of pressure on defenders... not in their face 24/7 but they chase the ball from what I see. "Do not pressure defenders at all" seems excessive to me. 3) I agree on the free kicks and throw ins- there should be one "easy" or "conservative" pass/throw to make. Take away the forward pass/throw and let them throw it back. It doesn't have to be so black and white-- just follow the golden TSO rule of "Don't be a douche"
I dont want to come off as the FNG that thinks he knows everything, but I've played my fair share of FIFA games on this site with guys on Xbox side. Without a doubt, your video is a great place for guys to start learning how to play the game right.
I disagree. I have played Xbox guys, and they all totally play different than pS3/ PS4 side. I'm not complaining here guys. I don't care about losing or winning, as long as the game is played right like you said. We have 3 months to be on the same page. If RedAL925 says pressuring defenders is ok, then fine I'll move on to that page, or play seasons. Blaza 's video is awesome . It clearly shows what to do about pressuring. Isn't he from Xbox side? I'm not trying to compare 2 sides. I just want to make sure everyone is on the same page, that's all.
There is "pressuring" and there is saying "defender has the ball run away". If I am running with the ball with the striker, and the CB steals it from him with a good tackle- why can't I fight for it back since I'm standing right there? I didn't mean anything by the Xbox comment- but I didn't realize there was such a difference, so my bad there. I just wanted to partake in this discussion because, as I mentioned to you, if I ever go back to playing in leagues here it would probably be in TFS... or so I was thinking.
First, there is no "don't pressure defenders at all" rule, so let's squash that right now. You should not be sprinting at defenders trying to take the ball off then, but you don't have to back off entirely either. Play the lanes, track the ball, don't tackle. Second, don't fall into the "I saw it in real life" trap. This isn't real life, this is a video game, and there are things we need to police in order to achieve maximum enjoyment out of the game. BESHIKTAS video is a good place to start, but it is not the letter of the law. That video will be posted eventually, with full explanations of each situation. This, in addition to actual match footage, will ensure that everyone is on the same page for FIFA 15.
Like I told you I hope you join the league . Your addition will add more action to the league with your TSO experience. I'm sure you are more than welcome to join the league. I didn't bring up those things because of our game, just so you know. We have so many new joiners, and RedAl doesn't have ps4 yet. I only see a few guys discussing about the gameplay and all.
I agree to an extent on this, but with the semi controls broken (semi is more like assisted than semi imo) of 14 the result may always be a goal. One of the reason I want to go manual, not always a certainty that the dude will score. Edit: situation when it's last defender or so that leads to a 1v1 or something like that. If it has no threat to goal I would like for the future to play on say by the sidelines or something.
Fine, but that doesn't mean you get to pressure like a bat out of hell because they "might not score"
yeah I know, I meant it more like a non-goal scoring threat. Say by the sidelines or something like that. I'm fine with the current rules, if they're abided to. Playing with a seasons mentality on here makes it unbearable if you try to play by the rules while your opponent doesn't.
I agree real life will never be replicated in a video game. I was merely using it to explain why I did what I did.
What do you guys think about this? Is it ok to pressure ,try to get the ball to score, or should the striker have backed off? I just want to clarify it. RedAL925 Zikry Blaza guayo10 Lou I tagged the guys who are making effort to discuss and fix things. Thanks for your inputs.
