The Penn State defense showed what happens when an opposing team's starting RB is out and their QB can't throw for shit. The All-American MLB Sean Lee lead all defenders with 11 tackles, including 6 TFL's and 1 sack. He was awarded the Game Ball by Coach PipeHitter. Tyrod Taylor was abismal, throwing for a sparse 73 yds and was lucky that the PSU safeties dropped 4 INT's to help him out. As a team, VT managed only 108 yards of total offense for the game.

Michigan had 124 yards of total offense and couldn't stop the spread option as Daryll Clark had 3 TD's. The only negative for PSU was the loss of Evan Royster for 2 weeks to a back, but hopefully he'll be back for the big user game against Ohio State.

Daryll Clark broke Kerry Collins 16 year old single season passing yardage record in a rout against the Plainsmen. He was awarded the game ball by Collins after going 17-23 for 233 yds and 2 TD's, in addition to rushing for 78 yds and 2 more TD's. This game sets up a huge rivalry game next week against tOSU for which the Nittany Lion coaching staff is hopeful to have starting RB Evan Royster back from injury.
