Coach great win vs USC. Did you thin it would be that easy?

What do you think was key to that game that the casual fan may not have picked up?

Who poses the biggest obstacle to a national championship for the Nittany Lions?

~Thanks, it was a huge win for our program, especially for this season and moving forward. We have lost games early in the past few years which has ultimately put us out of the National Title hunt. Did I think it would be that easy? It wasn't easy. USC played a good game. We only scored 24 points and managed 4 interceptions. We still have work to do. It wasn't an easy victory by far.

~There were good and bad for the Lions that not many people will pick up on, if they open their papers Sunday morning or turn on Sportscenter and see the ticker. Obviouslly, our defense played spectacular football and we all know defense wins championships. However, the offense still needs to move the ball and score points, which they did, but didn't do a great job. USC out played us with total offense and they shut down our passing game. Now, we are down our starting running back, Means for 10 weeks. We have talent behind him in the run game in Stovall, who needs to lead this team. Our QB Smith played a good game, no turnovers and completed most of his passes, 1 for a big touchdown. We trust him and will be going forward with him under center. Derek Perez could see some snaps as well. Look for a leader to come out early for these Lions, look for our offense to begin to gel and put up more yards and scores.

~We have a couple of tough road games this season. I believe our biggest threat is going to be Wisconsin. They aren't getting the attention that they should be from the press, but with a new head coach that has proven himself, they could give us a run. However, we are not looking past Iowa or the other tough away game in Minnesota. Yes, I said it, Minnesota could pose a challenge. Coach CA has built a good team over there and anything can happen with players that have been there long enough. We will look to play defense against everyone and attack their weakpoints. We have won 4 straight BCS games, but haven't put up a real threat for the Big10 title in a few years. It's time for Penn State to get back their swagger. Oh, and Ohio St is another game to watch...forgot about those Buckeyes. *Leans over to press to my left and whispers, "Ohio State, do they still have a football program?"*
