Brees should be #1 on that list obviously. ;) And Manning (Peyton) is too high for me until he proves hes that hes 100% healthy from the neck issues.

sdid22 - Why Cassel so high? I live close to KC so all I see is KC games and all I see is week after week of horrible play from him. Bunch of fans from around here want him gone.

Then I would put Stafford at 5 and newton at 7

I know people like to hate on him and I'm biased but no way is he the worst. He had literally no one to pass to last year with horrible pass protection. I thought he came out too early and wasn't mentally ready for the NFL, but the skills are there. I just wish we could've sat him the whole year. I have little doubt that if he were the backup on the Packers, then he could've just as easily put up the same numbers that Matt Flynn did in that final game...if not better.

I guess I'll do a list too while I'm at it.

I'll add this too; He showed progression through the season. He only had 12 TD passes last year, but 6 of those came in the final 5 games of the season along with a raise in completion percentage. If you stretch that out to a full season, then he would've been middle of the pack statistically. And while the yards were never terribly impressive, he showed progression there too. In his first 8 games of the season, he had 5 games with less than 120 passing yards. In the last 7 games(he only played in 15), that only happened once.

I already admitted to being a homer on this, but that's why I brought some stats to this rather than just going on the Jags having the worst passing yards in the NFL last year and concluding that he's the worst QB because of that. People and the media act like he's a certifiable bust already when he was setup for failure and didn't do that bad considering. There's very few QBs who could've succeeded in Jacksonville last year, imo. I don't think he'll ever be an elite QB, but the door isn't shut on him yet.

Agreed, only a handful I'd take him over.

Talent + Stats + Team + Success = rank is how my board went

Spoken like a man whose team has a QB that ranks at the bottom of the list and he has no argument against it.

in 2010 Cassel was not that bad because he was healthy 27 TD to 7 picks 93 qb rating is pretty damn good. They made the playoffs that year and yes he shit the bed but a lot of QB's have vs the Ravens.

He's won as many super bowls as your quarterback.
