Purdue rolls vs. MSU 49-28 After about 5 tries, we finally got this game done. Purdue got off to a fast start in the 1st quarter with an excellent drive culminating with a 24 yard TD from TerBush to O.J. Ross. On MSU's first play, Cousins throws it right to LB Joe Holland who was playing a zone and he returned it for a TD to give the Boilermakers a quick 14-0 lead. The Spartans answered back on a long 56 yard pass play in which a Purdue corner completely whiffed on a swat attempt. This decrease in lead would be short lived as Purdue scored 1.5 min later on a 46 yard pass play to TE Gabe Holmes. The second quarter saw each team score 14 points a piece and the haltime score was 35-21. Purdue then went on to put the game away with solid pass plays to convert key third downs, then RB Ralph Bolden got in on the fun as he had two good TD runs of 24 and 36 yards. The Purdue D was not good at all but they made some stops and forced a couple turnovers. QB Caleb TerBush was the player of the game going 17-24 for 316 yards and 4 TD with only 1 pass thrown in the 4th quarter. The Purdue offense is really in a groove now as they have made some adjustments and have been doing a great job of spreading the ball around to different receivers.
