So, I've found an issue with the game that basically let's you side step around scouting and see the attributes of each player in the draft class. My HOPE is that since CCM is hosted on servers they can just tune server side code to not show it.

If that doesn't happen, it likely won't get fixed until a patch. I know no one is going to want to start in a month or whenever the second patch hits, AND I realize that having some kind of gentlemens agreement not to use the exploit isn't realistic either.

So, what do you guys think we should do? Just go ahead and play, let people side step scouting until the bug is fixed? It will end up that anyone with the time to look through and record player ratings will be able to compile them all.

Essentially year one will operate just like drafts did on XFN last year, where everyone knows the player ratings.

Do we know when a patch would come out to address it? I'd actually be fine with waiting because I'd still have other thing to occupy me, but I'm sure I'd be in the minority on that one.

If the bug isn't fixed then is it likely that someone will sim through all seasons and create a spoiler's cheat sheet like year's past and post it on the internet....

I think a gentlemens agreement may need to happen for the sake of the intention of the league. We all got picked for this league based on reputation, and I feel as a league we can be better than the other leagues by simply choosing not to look.

I talked to EA. Turns out it isn't a bug, it is showing made up attributes. I confirmed by simming a season, scouting and comparing.

So it's a non-issue. Disregard. Sorry for being Chicken Little.

    *sigh*

Turns out they are not. I forwarded along picture proof to EA just now.

The draft classes are far more random this year... you can't sim through all seasons and make a list.

What you CAN do with this bug is basically look through all the recruits and find out their real stats, at least until it's fixed.

I personally know I can show enough self restraint to avoid the glitch that allows this, but I have no idea how to ensure everyone does.

Like I said above, I'm hoping they can modify the server side code to avoid this.

I see an obvious way to do it, I'm hoping they do as well.

can you not relay your idea to them? This would eliminate the "I hope they notice" part.

I'd rather not wait another month. I say roll with it and hope they can fix it with a tuner.

I know a majority of the guys here won't but a few will. And you can bank on it.

I would hope that people could not look and do it legit. However that would almost require people posting who they scouted and such. Which is very tedious. I would say just let it go and do it the XFN way. Baring they dont fix it before the roster update

Kinda sad that we have to think like that, but realistic nonetheless. I'm with you, though.

Kinda takes some wind out of the sails for me but what can you do.

I'm guessing the said bug is along the same lines as it was in NCAA with the unlock pitches then write them down or whatever. I'm guessing you can probably scout but save your scout points by hitting the power button - thus if you had an inordinate amount of time you could technically scout the entire class in 1 week?

That seems AWFULLY tedious, especially with just 1000 scouting points, but I know people will do it if they can. For me though, I'd rather spend my extra time at practice gaining XP or something so fuck that. I honestly think we'll be fine - people are going to do a decent job at scouting anyways IMO.

You can't see all the ratings, just overall, size, etc.

Honestly, I'm finding a slew of issues in CCM. I would imagine a lot of it can be tuned, and I'm hopeful with Frisk on board we could see some swift action where possible.

If we go on with it as it is now, in 7 years roughly 90 percent of the elite WRs drafted will be over 6'3. That will drive me insane. Add to that the fact that we can't change our schemes?...I am in no rush to start, as anxious as I am

Agreed with the scheme aspect. Is the scheme PB based only. I haven't been able to do as much with it as I'd hoped to this weekend.

Scheme can we worked around. I don't anticipate the player pool changing.
