Welcome to the "Black Hole".....Where you can educate yourself on the history of the NFL and the role the Raiders and AL Davis had on it. Weather you are a Raider hater or a Raider fan (there are only two types of fans) Here is your link to why this franchise is a National if not World wide phenomenon. This will be your spot if you are a young NFL fan and don't quite understand the legacy of AL or the History of how the NFL merged to what it is now. This will be a historical posting spot for all of HK to be involved in or just a place for "Raider Haters" to post. The NFL is not the NFL with out the presence of AL who was a staple of the NFL that we now know it. So dig into your NFL history books and see what you can post in this thread. Post either "Hate" or "History" ....its all good in the Raider Nation Post..........

ChildhoodAP: For me it was stamped on my birth certificate. I had no choice....for others it would be a team to hate...(Yankees) and it easily became a staple of where we were from and our neighborhoods personality. We wore it as a identity or a symbol of our territory. It quickly became a symbol of society and escalated into the rest of the world as a symbol of gangster rap. These things only added to the explosion of popularity of the silver and black. The Raiders gear was one of the most sought after pieces of NFL gear one could find. The rest of the hype took off from there and the Raider Nation is more than a mediocre football team as of late and now an attitude of society. Some of you young people in HK should utube the 30 for 30 on the Raiders and what they have contributed to the NFL as we know it today.

Show down in the Wild AFC West
Oakland AP; The AFC West has broken down into a final four style tournament for the remainder of the final three games which could lead to some interesting games down the stretch. The Oakland Raiders(7-6) have the Chiefs(7-6), Broncos(8-6) and Chargers(7-6) left on the schedule and with all three teams in a must win out scenario. For Oakland its one game at a time for our 2013 lives as we face three rivals in a row as well as Oakland fighting for its first winning season in 11 years. Team CEO/GM/Owner Thirdalarm said "the only focus right now is on Cole Copeland and the Kansas City Chiefs. If we don't get past them then we waste our time and beer thinking about next week. We expect a solid performance and BPG out on the field and that's all we can ask."

here is a sample. The rest is up to you to look up. I was at a school where they actually banned raider apparel on campus and it stoked a border line riot.... we protested by rocking our Raider gear. We won.

Raider Nation's desperate push for the Playoffs
Oakland AP: The final sprint for the playoffs is upon the NFL as some teams have punched their tickets to the show and four teams including the Raiders are in a "win and in" scenario. The Bills Chiefs and Raiders are left scratching for two wild card spots with one going home empty handed. The Raiders face a tough Bronco team who have clinched the Western division and they have to believe the Raiders are going to come out swinging for the fences, leaving nothing on the table. With a trip to the playoffs on the line and in search of their first winning season in 11 years, The Raiders are exactly where they want to be. Team owner/CEO/HC/Stick man Thirdalarm said in his press conference today "win and in....it's that simple gentlemen, that's all it is."

11 year Monkey off the back of Oakland
Oakland AP; Oakland HC Dennis Allen was handed a ceremonial ice cold beer at his news conference today as a symbol of confidence from CEO/GM/Stickman Thirdalarm. There was lots of praise for the NFL's youngest HC and congrats for ending the 11 year drought that has parallelized Oakland since their 2003 Super Bowl appearance. The Raiders went 9-7 and came with in inches of winning a double overtime wild card playoff game vs AFC champions bigtubb_ and the Buffalo Bills. CEO Thirdalarm discussed many issues with HC Dennis Allen over a couple of cold ones. While the rest of HK seems to be in a fire sale, Third wanted to establish some stability and create a foundation that starts with a HC. With in one season HC Allen has increased all but just a few XP Boosters for this young Raiders football team, most of all in the development of QB Tyrell Pryor who turned out Thirdalarms first QB to toss more TD's than INT's in his HK career. Pryor was boosted from a season starting rating of 73 to a 86 under the watchful eye of Third. The other priority was developing a solid young OLine lead by 26 year old Jarred Veldheer 93 ovr as the leader. Rookie RT Menilik Watson 6'5 310 lb emerged as a NFL quality Tackle very quick, taking care of the Raiders top issue. Darren McFadden spent the year developing his toughness as the Raiders hope he has fixed his injury issues, on the field he managed to rush for 1,250 yards while missing 5 games. The conversation quickly moved to this next season, as the topic became the needs and bank roll the Raiders bring into free agency topping $77 MILLION. Team Owner Thirdalarm has been known as the HK's Billie Beane, so strategic balance of salaries while keeping an eye on the rest of the NFL's money issues is a recipe for success. With the departure of AL Davis The Oakland Raiders are once again a Free Agent friendly place to play football. More to come.........Chapter 2 Draft talk.

Raiders plan to move DE Lamar Houston to DT
Oakland AP; The Oakland Raiders plan to move DE Lamar Houston back to his original position of DT in the Offseason in just the latest of team owner Thirds plans to improve the Raiders defense this offseason. Houston who is 6'3 300 lbs could be moved back to his pre-NFL position to create more pressure and plug up the middle of a much improved 4-3 defense for Oakland. This move sparks a debate of where the Raiders could be going in the upcoming draft. Houston brings a 88 PWR move and a 77 speed off the line that would create a leathal combo lined up next to the dangerous Michael Johnson. Team owner has showed a commitment to slowing down the explosive Offenses that the AFC West has shown. More to come............................

Raiders will likely cut McFadden in off season
Oakland AP; It has been a "ground hog" type of a career for the ever so talented but fragile Raiders running back Darren McFadden in his 8 year journey in Oakland. After being drafted 4th overall in 2008 out of Arkansas he has rushed for 5,767 yards and 36 TD's putting him 3rd All Time rushing leaders in Raiders history behind Mark Van Eeghen. McFadden only completed one season in his 8 year career injury free in 2010 rushing for 1,157 yards and 7 TD's. Run DMC at 28 years old is due to make $4.62 million next season which is too much money for Team CEO Thirdalarm to swallow for a player who is constantly on the sidelines and in the training room. Team owner Thirdalarm made an announcement on Thursday that "Its a tough decision for us to make as a franchise, I wanted to see Darren eclipse Marcus Allen for the franchise rushing record for the Raiders All-Time but the injuries have become an epidemic. We would like to honor and thank Mr. McFadden for his service and dedication to the Raiders." Third was a little emotional during the announcement but he promised he would not let emotions interfere with business which he ensured Mark Davis he would do when he took over all operations of the Raiders from him in 2013. The future at the running back position is up for grabs between Rookie stand out Khiary McClure who flashed some skill in McFadden's absence while Jonathan Dwyer will push for the starting job as well, the Raiders will possibly look towards the draft for a replacement. More news to come......stay tuned.
