The Ravens defense swarmed QB Andy Dalton getting to him 8 times
The Ravens traveled to Cincinnati for their week 5 matchup against the Bengals and after an impressive showing by the Baltimore defense the Ravens have improved to 4-1 to remain in the top spot in the AFC North. The Ravens defense was led by Rookie DE Jeffery Myers as he racked up 3 sacks to take his season total to a league leading 8 on the season. The Bengals on the other hand were by no means a pushover their defense was solid as they kept HB Bernard Pierce in check pretty much all game allowing him only 60 yards on 21 carries most of which came in the second quarter as well as shutting out the Ravens offense for 3 quarters (all 17 points came in the 2nd). The Bengals may have dropped to 0-5 on the season but their play this week proves that they cannot be taken lightly as their offense despite allowing 8 sacks dramatically improved giving the ball away only once this game compared to 5 times in their previous meeting with Baltimore and the defense held QB Joe Flacco to 133 yards a huge improvement over the 238 yards allowed in week 2.

All in all it was a hard fought game with a couple lucky breaks for the Ravens. A classic AFC North Showdown! GG AveryB good luck the rest of the way bro!
