Yes, but you can franchise tag one player if you want. Its expensive though.

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers Resignings

The Buccaneers are incredibly screwed. The Buccs have 14 pending Free Agents, but only 4 are "Available". They also have only 9 million of cap room to work with, and so they are not able to Franchise Tag anyone. Here is the list:

    Unavailable

    QB J.Freeman 85 ovr
    QB D.Orlovsky 70 ovr
    WR M.Williams 82 ovr
    WR A.Benn 79 ovr
    FB E.Graham 86 ovr
    LT D.Dotson 74 ovr
    LB D.Watson 74 ovr
    CB E.Biggers 70 ovr
    CB M.Lewis 70 ovr
    SS C.Grimm 71 ovr

    Available

    DT S.Ellis 88 ovr
    DT S.Rogers 65 ovr
RT S.Vollmer 84 ovr ***Resigned 4yrs-12 million- 6 million bonus***
    K J.Brown 73 ovr

Yeah, would have loved to Tag either first Freeman, or second Mike Williams but both were well over 10 million just to Tag. Would have liked to keep DT Ellis but he is getting old and not worth what he wanted. Vollmer the only one worth resigning. I think I'll be ok defensively, offensively I may be in a world of trouble. The Buccs have a couple astronomical contracts (V.Jackson, C.Nicks, even E.Wright is getting paid) so may have to look at dumping one of them, just worried the bonus will kill me then.

Have heard the CPU wrecks teams as far as resigning/free agents, that this happens when you join a league late that was a CPU team, so I'm curious to see how you other new guys are fairing in your Resignings.

I think due to the CPU taking over I have a list of guys I can resign but in reality I'm losing half the roster. Its not showing the other players that I'm losing. Anybody else see that?

    Is one of them Brady?

There have been some issues with other teams too. When the salary cap was messed up during the year, it made signing most of your key guys hard to do. For awhile my cap was at -$1000 M, so when it got fixed my players were already pissed they didnt get extensions, and were unavaible.

During the year the 49ers did most of their re-signings. Here is the list of players that were resigned in season:

Resigned Kenny Britt to a 5 year/33M dollar deal
Resigned NaVorro Bowman to a 5 year/32.5M dollar deal
Resigned Parys Harlson to a 5 year/20.82M dollar deal
Resigned Donte Whitner to a 5 year/25.60M dollar deal
Resigned Terrell Brown to a 5 year/13.6M dollar deal
Resigned Justin Smith to a 5 year/47.08M dollar deal

San Francisco just now agreed to a contract with CB Sean Smith to a 4 year/19.2M dollar deal and OLB Jason Trusnik to a 1 year $800K contract.

    Will be releasing
    I. Sopoaga
    Mario Manningham
    C. Neild
    P. COx
    S. Tolzien
    D. Dobbs
    D. Akers
