I'm only going to say this once, the read option and QB ISOs can easily be abused, so be prudent in their use. I see this is becoming a staple of too many offenses so I thought I would go ahead and get the word out.

Outside of my game with Shaun, which was a coin flip, I could easily be undefeated and lead the nation in rushing.

Haha. Totally agree here. I rarely run it because it's very, very tough for the CPU to defend. Hell I barely ran it against khallis last night. But when I did, he stopped it :)

I've really, really limited my read option, which I've probably run less than 10 times all season. I've had tons of success with speed/triple/qb dive/qb power, not to mention I scramble a lot because my receivers can't seem to get open on a consistent basis.

I'll limit the power and dive stuff, I didn't realize this was an issue. It's a tough balance to strike because Kolter, at 90 speed, is my fastest offensive starter. As such, I try to get the ball in his hands a lot.

Edit: Been contemplating a move to pro style anyways when Kolter leaves. Will probably make that move next year.

I think I'm averaging negative yards on read option anyway so I should probably quit running it.

I think it's obvious I haven't been doing anything overpowered, the CPU is pushing my shit so deep it's coming out my ears.

If your QB has the most rushing attempts on your team then you need to quit being a cheesedick.

EDIT: Unless you run the fleXbox One.

Does anyone distinguish between read option and triple option and other forms of option?

The reason I ask is because the way the game is set up, almost every option play has a read in it. Is it all cheese or is it different if you are running triple option. My QB had 120 rushing attempts, probably got sacked roughly 25-30 times so that puts his rushing attempts around 100. My Hb's totaled a little over 300 attempts. That seems realistic, but I want feedback.

If your QB has 1/3 of the attempts that your HB has I don't see any problems with that.

I think I got sacked about 25 times, which would mean I rushed it probably 100 times for the season. I used two HB's out of most shotgun split sets, and those two guys had over 300 rushing attempts, but beyond the stats, does anyone view the option plays differently?

I think the triple option can be very effective, but it also is high risk as I learned against Peench last night when i pitched it to his OLB. The standard 1 HB and QB in the backfield and reading the DE, I get that play shouldn't be abused, but I think there is a difference in other option plays, but I want to make sure that Im not alone.

I ran with the QB a bit too much I think, but it wasn't effective at all. I suck at it apparently.

How did Houston not even get considered for a single award? Guy was my whole offense. Sad to see him graduate, he fell forward every play.

My QB just isn't that fast even though he is supposed to be a scrambling QB. I wonder how many sacks I had this season I would think close to 20, probably more since my OL was terrible and MSU had a field day.

Yeah my guy is solid, but not as fast as my incoming freshman. Regardless, Im just happy he didnt lead my team in yards or attempts. Looks like that award goes to Peench.

    2012

    Oregon
    RB Barner - 278 for 1768
    QB Mariota - 106 for 752
    RB Thomas - 92 for 701
    RB Marshall - 87 for 447

    Ohio State
    Braxton Miller - 227 for 1271
    Carlos Hyde - 185 for 970

Both run the read a lot. Completely different results based on personnel. That said, it's pretty overpowered in the game in general.

You don't have "Upload a File" below the editor? If not, I'll look at permissions.
