Top 25 Classes
Top 15 Prospects
Highlighted Players from the Top 15
The #1 QB prospect looks to be a solid choice for the 2015 class, 6'3'' 223 pounds with a solid arm and very good accuracy with some mobility. I'm going to say he is a taller version of Tajh Boyd, he has enough mobility in the pocket and able to run some read option along with the arm to get the ball out.
George Gonzalez has been dubbed as the #1 back prospect hailing from Georgia and I would say nothing stands out elite wise when it comes to skill, he just does everything to a "t" and does it consistently. He will be a workhorse type of back who will only get better the longer he is on campus. I think I will compare him to Lendale White out of USC before he started to slack off during the tail end of his career.
Marshall Barnett comes in as the #1 WR prospect and is extremely polished. He has a great frame at 6'2'' 208 pounds and runs very good routes as he gets in and out of the breaks at an elite level. He is sure handed but doesn't typically make the highlight reel catches and his top end speed isn't 100m track speed. Sources say that he can be compared to Andre Johnson out of Miami. ( kdpnutter )
There is a lot to like out of the #1 DE Kelvin Edwards most notably his solid burst and speed off the edge combine that with a nice bull rush and being a sure tackler, you have a game changer on D. We fail to draw a comparison but maybe a poor mans Bjoern Werner out of FSU.
Ricky Hill is the #1 SS and #13th best player not including the athletes and will be a very good zone defender that will be able to press someone up. He will be able to fly all over the field and make some big plays when called upon. I'll give an Eric Berry comparison even though his man coverage is lacking.
Shane Walker looks like a very formidable #1 MLB recruit as he has a quick first step to get to the hole and fill it and will be able to develop his strength in getting off blocks. He will need to develop in wrapping up but he can lay some lumbar, give him a comparison to AJ Hawk.
Kirk Rouse seems to be an elite #1 CB that possess cover skills with great speed and acceleration. His press skill will develop and could ended up being better than projected from early film. Early predictions have him compared to Dee Milliner out of Alabama while others are waiting to see what his coverage and press skills are really at when he faces some HS competition.
Now that you coaches have seen some of the recruiting, how does it pale to you in your needs and or wants. Is this a weak class and where, is this a strong class and where?
Maybe I haven't been looking at the right guys, but I haven't seen much for receivers in this class. The running backs are also kind of a letdown.
I've found plenty of good players, but I wont necessarily get them.
This year recruiting is decent not so much as a let down but I've founded some pretty good talent.
Should be a very good haul for Alabama- might not be a big class but we will have quality players coming in.
Offensive line getting special attention this year- we should land 3 79 overalls and an 80 unless the CPU bulls something out of its ass.
This is a great season for the DMV area, lots of talent in DC, MD and VA. Maryland has 2 5 star recruits, and DC and VA are loaded with 4 stars. After the big season Maryland had last year and with the focus on recruiting players to stay home, it looks to be a big year for MD recruiting.
Yeah, Maryland has more 5-star players than Florida. Sure, EA.
I still haven't got the hang of recruiting
But you will have plenty of mobile QB's so it doesn't really matter.
4th post updated, will work on athletes over the course of the next day or two.
I started looking deeper into the class and the receiver talent drops off rapidly. D-line looks pretty good and DB positions have lots of gems so far, but the offense looks a little more shallow than the first season.
Linebacker crop seems weak to me- maybe I'm having bad luck though.
I agree. LB is very weak Im having to fight teams for a couple of 3-stars
I scouted about 8-10 and had to settle for a 70 overall (hopefully)
Looked at the LBs and they are awful. Might have to find a beefy safety. I just found one that's 6'5" 221 that screams OLB at first glance. Have to dig deep to find prospects in this class at some positions.
Maryland gets on the board with their first 2 commitments of the 2014 class.
Can Kyle throw the ball like his distant cousin Cam???
Based on the film, I'd say Kyle can throw the ball like a 4 year old girl
Nice week for Miami, eh?
Separate names with a comma.
