Top 5/10 Overall Recruits
Nice pick up on the lineman, but you never know how those LBs will pan out when you actually recruit them. Seems like every top 10 position guy I recruit has some things underrated and some things overrated and ends up within 3 of his initial OVR.
Oh yeah, quit being selfish and recruiting guys you don't need with those false promises of playing time. We all know they're not Catholic.
Seeing ND with only 7 scholarships brings a smile to my face
Don't be, that only means they have a slew of either Juniors or very young with sophomores and freshmen.
Two of my biggest targets are in your back yard Buddie!
I think his ovr will be close, i was able to unlock most of the important traits
These kids grew up with 3-9 Ron Turner teams, so I don't blame them for wanting to leave. But...I'm still going to go hard after those two.
Live in the now, man!
and they're not changing any time soon based off of the bench. They may peak next year, numbers wise, but the talent level will remain high enough to where it wont make a difference. Pretty soon, he will have to wear big glasses and speak with a slight lisp. Eventually, they will force him out before he breaks 100 wins.
I only have 4 juniors on my team
Everyone, we're raiding Louisiana next season...
^^this, times infinity.
What I'm going to do is only use 14 of my 18 scholarships this year and I only used 22 out of 24 last season so my roster is only at 68 this season. So next season I'll play with a roster of 64 that will give me 10 scholarships for next season, at least I can have some fun recruiting.
I've been building that pipeline, STAY AWAY!
In unrelated news... The Bulldogs pick up their first commitment of the 2014 class in 3 star MLB Fred Haumiller out of Ville Platte Louisiana.
The first Illinois commitment of the season, DE James Reid.
The march on putting up the walls and not letting top talent leave the state begins now. A few of the top dogs might slip through the cracks this year, but I want to focus on dominating my own state in recruiting before branching out and building pipelines.
With gaining all my stars, I should be able to contribute to this thread this year
WOULD expect so, you have the top two cb as their #1
Illini add another ESPNU 150 player--this time it's OG Jay Watkins. The 6'3" 300-pound interior lineman will add more depth to what is already a pretty youthful group. Look for some shifting of guards to tackle in order to balance out the numbers a bit, because Illinois only has 3 OT returning. Watkins is a sure-fire 1st year redshirt.
OMG this is so irritating not having more scholarships...lol, I have so many good recruits that I could be landing. Oh well, I guess I should start to use the same logic as DrunkenSoldier used and try to even out my recruiting classes so I'm not stuck with a large class one year and a smaller class the next.
Oh, trevorg234 I do like how you are trying to out gun me for a recruit that is within one of my pipeline states, that is not a pipeline of yours...keep up the good fight..
You're right. I will bow down to the almighty Notre Dame and giveth everything that it wishes.
wahh wahh wahhhhhhh
I'll make it look good with an lol at the end.
