How does your recruiting class look?
Post 'em up here.
The 1st thing I notice is that the 2nd MLB I signed, a is a freaking 69 OVR! To put this in perspective, the next worst guy in the class is a 75!
Outside of him, I'm totally thrilled with my class as it's the best I've signed with an OVR average of 78.47 (last year's class was 78.37). I've got 4 81s and 2 80s and only 3 of 17 guys are below a 78. Amazingly enough, the average position rank of my guys is only 3.88!!!! This is because 12/17 recruits were in the top 3 of their position.
Defensively, I've added a LOT of speed AND talent. I signed the 2 fastest players I've ever signed in CB#1 William King (81 OVR, 98 SPD, 94 ACC, 90 AGI, 85 ZCV/MCV, 80 PRS) and FS#2 Curtis Wayne (81 OVR, 98 SPD, 93 ACC, 90 AGI, 79-81 MCV/ZCV/PRS, 93 HIT!). I signed 4 LBs (3 OLB, 1 MLB) rated 79, 80, 80, 81 including the 2 fastest LBs I've ever signed in OLB#1 Connor Thibodeaux (80 OVR, 86 SPD, 96 ACC) and OLB#2 Travis Lester (80 OVR, 87 SPD, 96 ACC!).
This wasn't a big skill position year for me on offense (0 WRs in 17 total recruits, 1 HB, 1 QB) but I got 4 O-linemen, all rated between 77-79.
Here's how my class looks:
Michigan Class of 2019
This class was about filling out the roster. Quantity was needed
Charles Butler 78 overall JUCO-JR
Charlie Cox 70 overall
Sean Beach 69 overall
Sean Ewing 65 overall JUCO-JR
Lee Jackson 63 overall
Peter Buchanan 77 overall JUCO-JR
Mike Billings 71 overall JUCO-JR
Chad Powell 78 overall JUCO-JR
Brandon Turner 68 overall JUCO-JR
Maurice Jones 70 overall JUCO-JR
Peter Richardson 66 overall JUCO-JR
Victor Fritz 75 overall
Michael Hickman 75 overall
Jon Johnson 62 overall JUCO-JR
Brandon Marshall 76 overall
Trey Carpenter 76 overall JUCO-JR
Charles Taylor 76 overall
Chris Wheeler 77 overall JUCO-JR
Eugene Jackson 64 overall
Another stud class signed by UGA. These guys have an average rating of 78.75 which is very good, but not as impressive as last year's average of 79.2. Three players stand out in this class and they are #1 ATH Ron Brown, #1 FS Brian Fry, and #21 HB Nick Gates.
Brown and Fry come in rated 82 overall which is the highest of any player in any of the UGA classes who was not a punter (#1 P Willie Williams came in at 85 overall and left last year after his JR season). Gates on the other hand comes in at only a 68 overall. HB was a position of need, and UGA will have to add another this year because Gates just doesn't have the talent.
Other than those 3, we added a quality blocking TE in Allen, two stud DEs in Petty and Robertson, and a very talented OLB in Kevin Harris. We also signed a QB in Josh McFadden that reminds the coaching staff a lot of current QB Casey Gutierrez. McFadden has good speed for a QB, but also has a big arm like CG.
Holy shit suge! You cornered the market on Juco's that's for sure.
Ole Miss signed a pretty strong class this year. Not sure were it ranked but I would think maybe a top 10.
#2 WR Thomas Ford 80ovr
#9 WR Dustin Bryant 78ovr
#4 ATH Tyson Curtis 80ovr
#7 ATH Vincent Denman 78ovr

#12 FS Jonathan Jackson 74ovr
#15 SS Josh Beck 74ovr
#16 DE Ryan Mason 74ovr
#14 MLB Stephen Mosley 73ovr
#15 HB Clayton Lowe 73ovr Dam blLL flo something in the water in Adamsville AL. I have two HB's from their and a former Heisman winner.

#1 P Steve Mckinley 84ovr
#11 P Ryan James 84ovr (juco so)
Replenishing my specialist was a HUGE necessity and this is quite the improvement. Two 83 overalls helps out a lot. Also getting the recruiting class of the future in Shelton, Robinson, and Morris along with TE Hollis will make Arizona quite the passing attack to go along with their option spread. Needed tackles but we failed to get any improvement there.
I had 29 available after the early out guys. I missed on two guys to Wisconsin and Georgia that would have been key. Oh well.
Stanford Class of '19
QB Eric Clay - 79 Overall - Very impressed with this guy who enters with 91 THP and 86 THA. With probably have him as backup.
HB Frank Jackson - 76 Overall - Not too bad, speedy as expected with 94 speed and 90 Accel. I hope to get him a few handoffs to also test his evasion skills (91 Elusiveness, 84 Spin, 84 Juke).
:1star: FB Clifford Gilmore - 68 Overall - The only player under 70 that was just a big depth chart filler.
JUCO(JR) WR Billy Barclay - 79 Overall - As #5 on the depth chart it doesn't look like this kid will ever see much PT. But he does have a nice set of speed skills with 93 Speed, 92 Accel.
TE Zach Osborn - 81 Overall - Going to be starting this year and comes in with decent receiving skills with 87 Catch, 84 Jump, 82 Route Running but he can't block worth a damn.
LG John Sutherland - 77 Overall - Good strength and blocking but not good enough to start.
LT Zach Washington - 77 Overall - 96 Accel, wow he can get off the line fast. but his blocking isn't enough to make me want to start him
DT Corey White - 78 Overall - He is buried, 'nough said.
CB Dustin Knox - 79 Overall - Good speed (93 speed, 94 accel) and decent coverage, if he ever makes it to the top of our list, he will be a force.
FS Brian Johnson - 78 Overall - Speedy and able to lay a hit, will be a starter in a year or two.
SS Louis Jones - 79 Overall - Not bad but not as good as I thought he would be.
K Jay Mackey - 85 Overall - Stanfords highest rated recruit and boy does he have a leg with 96 Kick Power but he does need to work on his accuracy (77).
Average Overall Rating - 78
The NU recruiting class is sub par. Even with a huge rally in the offseason to sign 3 recruits (my only 4 star recruits) this class is still pretty lack luster of talent. The average is a 70.25 and that's brought up significantly by the best player, my punter who's an 81 overall. The 4 stars rate 78, 77, & 77 and from there it immediately drops to 72 and falls down to 64. F-ugly!!!
All that talent.....and you still can't beat Georgia.....LOL!
