Well a few weeks have gone by and its clear that Texas A&M is going to be running over the SEC in just a matter of years so Im not even sure I should cover recruits from the SEC but for now I will; Lets get right to the roundup:

Lets go out east to check in on Joe Horton from Sanford, Maine. As you may recall ISU had a slim lead for Horton, but has slipped predictably behind a strong push from Texas Tech. Fortunately for ISU they are bringing him on a visit this week and the rumors are swirling that Coach OMlawdog has turned Ames, Iowa into this:

If that won't work, nothing will. Smart money is still on Texas Tech.

Now we go down to the sunshine state to check in on Josh Holt a mega stud athlete from Boca Del Mar Florida that Texas Tech and ISU have both targeted as a must have prospect. Unfortunately for ISU, Texas Tech went spared no expense, we are talking strippers, blow, cash, and a midget for Holt to take home as a parting gift. Holt came back from Texas Tech and almost committed to them on the spot. ISU has one last shot at Holt with a visit this week, but most everyone expects him to commit to TT within the next few days.

Staying in the south, Nick Harris a stud MLB LB out of Georgia that UK has made up huge ground for and is only a few point down to Purdue. KY has already had their visit and it doesn't look great for UK, but after their big win against SC anything is possible.

Another battle between TT and Houston has popped up with Chris Mathis; A few weeks back this looked to be a three horse race, but now its clear that this is a two horse race with Texas Tech having a solid lead over Houston. This one is long from over, but with Houston having a visit week 9 and then Houston in week 10, I have a feeling this one will be decided in the next three weeks. Smart money again looks to be on Texas Tech.

Finally we check in on Jacob Moore out of Hilsboro, who has KSU and Houston, 1, 2 respectively and has soft committed to KSU. Each school has had their visit and it looks like KSU may win out on this prospect meaning Houston will be a bridesmaid once again. Clearly coach Mustang can't be happy with this many potential 2nd place finishes.

That is all for this week's recruiting round up, check in for an update in week 11 which Im sure all of these races will be over by then.
