    *Recruiting Rules*

    Players leaving
    A player will not be allowed to attempt to sway a player from the pro draft if he:

    * is >= 90 OVR

    * is a JR that has won an award (Heisman, Thorpe, Maxwell, etc)

    Kickers and punters can be swayed from pro draft regardless of OVR and class.

    Scholarships
    The amount of scholarships that can be offered at any given time will be dictated by the following formula:

    A = number of seniors on your team that will graduate
    B = number of underclassmen that qualify for pro draft with aforementioned rules.
    C = Three additional scholarships to provide a cushion.
    D = 70 - current amount of players currently on roster

    A + B + C + D = total number of available scholarships.

    Note: Committed players count against your scholarship limit.

    A few other Rec. rules that we have went over previously;

    1- Only A+ speed (off) players may be recruited if they are a 5 star player

    2- Only A speed (off) players may be recruited if they are a 4 or 5 star player

    3- No QB may be recruited over B+ speed

    -Please respond to this thread stating that you understand and post your available recruits here so we are all on the same page, thanks-

    I'm gonna need a little guidance on this one. I don't fully understand it yet. I have 13 Seniors so i assume i can recruit 16 players of my choice.

    Here I will do mine to give you an example:

    A = number of seniors on your team that will graduate
    B = number of underclassmen that qualify for pro draft with aforementioned rules.
    C = Three additional scholarships to provide a cushion.
    D = 70 - current amount of players currently on roster

    A + B + C + D = total number of available scholarships.

    A= Seniors (16)
    B= Underclassmen that qualify for the pro draft (1- Crabtree)
    C= Three additional (3)
    D= 70 - total number pof players on team (68)= (2)

    so mine would be A (16) + B (1) + C (3) + D (2) = 22

    So i may only offer 22 total Scholarships, any more would be a recruiting violation.

    whats the punishment for going over the limit or for recruiting speed players that arent within the rules. Also what happens if I recruit a 3 star ATH with A+ speed.

    Good question, here ya go...

    Recruiting more players than allowed is = - the number of recruits over x 2

    so if you are only allowed 16 recruits and you recruit 19 you would be docked

    3 x 2 = 6 the following season

    Its kindof a no brainer and very simple to see what guys have A+ speed and which ones dont, so its obvious that you are just ignoring the rules so I will be strict on this one, you will be warned to cut the player or you will be removed, very simple.

    You can recruit a A+ 3-star play but he must play defense, hope that answers your question.

    C= Three additional (3)
    D= 70 - total number pof players on team (68)= (2)

    Va Tech has 19 total scholorships.

    B=0
    C=3
    D=70-68=2

    i can offer 19 scholaships.

    Yep thats what I was wondering, this way we have it posted since it could get tricky down the road with athletes.

    Great idea, if you can think to bring anything else up please do and we can hopefully avoid issues down the line.

    A= Seniors (25:()
    B= Underclassmen that qualify for the pro draft (1- Heyward Bey)
    C= Three additional (3)
    D= 70 - total number pof players on team (68)= (2)

    so mine would be A (25) + B (1) + C (3) + D (2) = 31

    I'm not in this league, but I am kind of interested in this discussion.

    My question is, is a player allowed to play both ways?

    If you recruit a A+ athlete and put him a CB, can he play some WR?

    The only A+ speed players that can play Offense MUST be 5-star caliber players, reguardless of what position you put them. So i guess my answer would be no.

  15. About that, even if you do sway a player to stay, they won't stay because of the glitch.

    I will be saving the league off line and doing this then, doing this allows you to be able to talk guys into staying. While we are on this since we take the league off line NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO MAKE PROMISES DURING THE OFF SEASON PERIOD. Doing so will result in a loss of Scholarships, take not.

    You can persuade them to stay and have it stick as long as the commish takes it offline for that part.

  18. Most of ODs i was in didn't do that so i was just wondering and reason we didnt do that was if people leave for NFL or transfer, there is always a reason for it.

    Recruiting/Depth Chart Violations:

    Just so we have these in stone before well ahead of time:

    -Recruiting a player that breaks our Speed parameters = Cut player + 2 Scholarship penalty the following year.

    -Offering a promise to a player = Cannot recruit player that was offered/must cut player and 3 scholarship penalty.

    -Any depth Chart violation will result in a 5 hour loss in recruiting for first offense, 10 for second and so on. This will reset each season.

    *If you guys have any questions on this post them here so we can make sure everyone is on the same page*
