Recruiting Trail Season 2Week 1 QB Carl Franklin has committed to Michigan - Michigan brings in a good specimen with very nice speed but lacks the natural passing skills. In the spread offense, which is what Michigan currently runs, he will flourish. HB Jeff Mueller has committed to Michigan - Jeff is big and strong with 4.48 speed. He needs time to develop his skills so expect a redshirt his freshman year. DT Kyle Stone has committed to Michigan - Kyle comes in with average skills that it takes to be a star at this position but he does have tackling down. QB Michael Ward has committed to Michigan - Michael is listed on the DW as an athlete. He comes in with decent speed and throwing power but his throwing accuracy is unknown. RT Tre Willis has committed to Penn State - Tre gas good pass block strength & footwork but he is only average in many other categories. MLB Rick Steele has committed to Penn State - Rick will need time to develop his abilities to tackle and cover but he has the speed to run down ball carriers. LT Nicholas Reddick has committed to Purdue - Nicholas has great size and could start for the Boilermakers in a few years. He just needs to work on his abilities and sharpen them. LE Matt McCollum has committed to USC - Didn't come up on DW. ROLB Nathan Breedlove has committed to USC - Nathan comes in with decent skills but will need to work on a lot of things in order to start for the Trojans. Look for him to redshirt. CB John Calhoun has committed to USC - John has great size(6'3) & speed(4.34) with the ability to cover. He will definitely be a playmaker in the near future that Pac-10 quarterbacks & receivers will fear. CB Ryan Hargrove has committed to Wisconsin - Ryan has decent size and speed but he lacks what most corners can't do, tackle. He does have great coverage skills and could start maybe his junior or senior year. CB Maurice Henley has committed to Wisconsin - Henly is huge, at 6'2 and faster than Hargrove. He can tackle a little better but comes in rated a little lower at coverage. WR Micah McDaniel has committed to Wisconsin - Michael has good size and speed but has been labeled as "stone hands" or "butterfingers" as he lacks the ability to do what receivers do, catch.
