    Recruiting Trail
    Season 2
    Week 1
    [IMG]
    • :4stars:QB Carl Franklin has committed to Michigan - Michigan brings in a good specimen with very nice speed but lacks the natural passing skills. In the spread offense, which is what Michigan currently runs, he will flourish.
    • :4stars:HB Jeff Mueller has committed to Michigan - Jeff is big and strong with 4.48 speed. He needs time to develop his skills so expect a redshirt his freshman year.
    • :4stars:DT Kyle Stone has committed to Michigan - Kyle comes in with average skills that it takes to be a star at this position but he does have tackling down.
    • :4stars:QB Michael Ward has committed to Michigan - Michael is listed on the DW as an athlete. He comes in with decent speed and throwing power but his throwing accuracy is unknown.
    • :4stars:RT Tre Willis has committed to Penn State - Tre gas good pass block strength & footwork but he is only average in many other categories.
    • :3stars:MLB Rick Steele has committed to Penn State - Rick will need time to develop his abilities to tackle and cover but he has the speed to run down ball carriers.
    • :3stars:LT Nicholas Reddick has committed to Purdue - Nicholas has great size and could start for the Boilermakers in a few years. He just needs to work on his abilities and sharpen them.
    • :4stars:LE Matt McCollum has committed to USC - Didn't come up on DW.
    • :4stars:ROLB Nathan Breedlove has committed to USC - Nathan comes in with decent skills but will need to work on a lot of things in order to start for the Trojans. Look for him to redshirt.
    • :4stars:CB John Calhoun has committed to USC - John has great size(6'3) & speed(4.34) with the ability to cover. He will definitely be a playmaker in the near future that Pac-10 quarterbacks & receivers will fear.
    • :3stars:CB Ryan Hargrove has committed to Wisconsin - Ryan has decent size and speed but he lacks what most corners can't do, tackle. He does have great coverage skills and could start maybe his junior or senior year.
    • :3stars:CB Maurice Henley has committed to Wisconsin - Henly is huge, at 6'2 and faster than Hargrove. He can tackle a little better but comes in rated a little lower at coverage.
    • :3stars:WR Micah McDaniel has committed to Wisconsin - Michael has good size and speed but has been labeled as "stone hands" or "butterfingers" as he lacks the ability to do what receivers do, catch.

Damn, seems like a lot of early commits this year.. Losing to SJSU isn't gonna help my recruiting stock any :(

On an unrelated note, what's the correct way to classify the season? (S2) or (Y2)? :p

    Week 2
    [IMG]
    • :4stars:RE Steve Hodges has committed to Cal - The only thing appealing about Hodges as a defensive end is he is strong(B-) and not injury prone. With not the greatest of speed, he is going to have to work on his technique if he wants to be any good at Cal.
    • :3stars:CB Jamil Richardson has committed to Cal - Jamil has good speed and size for a cornerback. He comes in pretty talented but he too needs some work.

    • :4stars:LT Jay King has committed to Oregon - Jay King will leave the state of Texas and head for Eugene, Oregon as he commited to Oregon. King's best attribute is his run block strength(B-). He will definitely have to hit the practice field hard.

    Week 3
    [IMG]
    • :5stars:FS Shaun Harris has committed to Iowa - Shaun comes in with good speed and great skills. He is near perfect. The only things he needs to work on is playing zone and recognizing plays.
    • :3stars:LOLB Marty Skinner has committed to Iowa - Marty looks to be a fill in for the depth chart. He needs to work on a whole lot of things before he is able to get on the field.
    • :3stars:FB Eric Foster has committed to USC - Eric is pretty small for a fullback and isn't very fast for his weight. He might need a year or two before getting onto the field for the Trojans.
    • :3stars:LOLB Brandon Henderson has committed to Wisconsin- Brandon might be very fast but he knows how to get to the ball and lays the lumber. Problem is he has a hard time recognizing plays and the fact that he goes for the big time hits hurts his chances on making tackles. Henderson has a lot of work to do.

    WEEK 4

    • :4stars: LE Rob Lewis has committed to Stanford. He chose the Cardinal over Iowa and Cal and is a menace to block. Not overly fast but does have nice acceleration and pursuit ability. If he puts on some weight, he may turn into a nice DT as well.

    • :4stars: ROLB Nick Lyles has committed to Michigan. The #4 ranked OLB also had offers from Tennessee and Nebraska. Labeled as a "run stopper", Lyles also displays nice coverage ability and has a nice overall skill set.

    • :4stars: WR Clarence Amos has committed to Oregon. Stanford had shown interest but did not extend an offer. Amos has nice size (6'3" 199lbs) and likes to use his body to shield off defenders. He graded out at B- in spectacular catch so look for Oregon to make him an instanst Red Zone threat.
    • :4stars: ATH Jake Smith has committed to Wisconsin. Jake also had an offer from Oregon. Predicted to be a MLB by DW, Smith has tremendous speed (B+) and acceleration (A). Look for him to eventually settle in at an OLB position and be a beast off the edge in blitz situations.

Both of Michigan's QB signees are coming into a good situation. They get to watch DRob and Gardner for a few years and will then battle it out as RS Soph's for the starting spot. Neither was exactly what we wanted but both had high awareness (C+ or better) and have time for their skills to improve.

CA, I believe you are after the 3rd QB I was after. I dropped him after landing these 2 but I know he had really good awareness as well. All from Michigan, odd that 3 :4stars: QB's with very similar skill sets and high awareness are from the same state.

    WEEK 5

    • :3stars: T Lynn Barrett has committed to Stanford. Barrett also had an offer from Florida State. At 6'8", Lynn uses his wingspan to keep pass rushers at bay. Once his footwork improves he will be a valuable contributer for the Tree.
    • :3stars: CB Logan Gore has committed to Iowa. How did this kid only get one offer? Credit the Iowa scouting department for a great find. At 6'4" with a B+ jumping and C catching, Logan could be a 2 way star.
    • :4stars: T Clark McGrew has committed to Ohio State. Clark had offers from MSU, Wisc and Pitt. Good awareness and RB strength may overcome an otherwise lackluster skill set. May need a few years of development but a solid pickup.
    • :5stars: DE Davis Madison has committed to Ohio State. David had offers from Oklahoma and LSU. Too many positives to list. The kid is gonna be a beast from day 1. If he doesnt see the field as a freshman it's because of the Buckeye depth chart, not his ability.
    • :3stars: G Jeff Thomas has committed to UCLA. He had no other offers. A sleeper prospect with good awareness and overall skill set. If his athleticism catches up, pencil him in for All-Pac10.
    • :3stars: OLB Kevin Fagan has committed to UCLA. He had no other offers. Average skills but good size (6'5" 220lbs) for an OLB. Look for Fagan to be a backup for a few years and develop more.
    • :3stars: Orlando Hartman has committed to UCLA. He had no other offers. Solid player with below average footwork. Still, will develop into a fine college TE.
    • :4stars: C Matt Pope has committed to USC. The #2 rated center had offers from Texas and Alabama. Nothing spectacular in skills means he has alot of room to grow. ESPNU must believe he has alot of potential to rate him this high.

    WEEK 6

    • :4stars: DT Jon Brady has committed to Stanford. Jon had offers from Texas A&M and Utah. Not overly athletic but strong and quick off the ball. Needs to get a better understanding of the position but should be a starter in a year or two for Stanford.
    • :4stars: FS J.P. Young has committed to Stanford. Very sought after recruit with offers from Neb, West Virginia, UCLA and Auburn. Blazing 4.32 speed with acceleration to match. Easy to see why so many schools wanted the kid. Probably too good not to see the field at some point his freshman year.
    • :4stars: SS Stephen McNeil has committed to Cal. He had an offer from Boise as well. Underwhelming speed but a good first step and solid overall skills. Really good hands, cover ability, play recognition at the SS position as well as the hit power of a LB. Very interesting kid.
    • :4stars: DT Chaz Tucker has committed to Michigan. He had offers from UNC and Va Tech. Undersized right now but shows alot of power in his game. Needs a year to learn the position and improve some skills before getting on the field.
    • :4stars: DE Terrell Johnson has committed to Michigan. Both Florida and UNC had extended offers. Another undersized D-lineman but with some speed and underrated power. May see time on the 2-deep for Michigan his freshman year.
    • :4stars: CB Jason Parker has committed to Michigan. Strongly considered an offer from ND. A speedy cover guy with good size (6'2"), jumping ability and coverage skills. Will make an immediate impact in dime packages.
    • :4stars: WR Deon Hill has committed to Ohio State. Had offers from Michigan and Missouri. Heated battle between Ohio State and Michigan for Deon. Great combination of size (6'3" 200lbs) and speed (4.28). Needs to learn his craft and limit drops that plagued him in H.S. Another reason for Mich to hate tOSU.
    • :3stars: G Michael Davis has committed to Oregon. He had an offer from Oregon State as well. Good length and unbelievable acceleration for a kid his size. Solid across the board and a good find for the Ducks.
    • :3stars: QB Nick Martinez has committed to UCLA. He had no other offers. Prototypical size lacking a top-level arm. Nick will need a few years to develop.
    • :4stars: HB Josh Hudson has committed to UCLA. Heated battle with Cal and Stanford offering as well. Great speed (4.30) and some shiftiness. Should find a niche his freshman year as a change of pace back or returner.
    • :4stars: ATH Brian Kiniry has committed to UCLA. No other offers. Will either be a slower CB or an undersized S. DW has him as a CB but look for Brian to one day anchor the D from a safety spot.
    • :4stars: WR Mike Hill has committed to UCLA. He had an offer from Cal. Great size at 6'4" and 209lbs but doesn't excel at any attribute. Don't see the #4 rating here. Give the kid a couple years of development and he should be a solid player though. Sorry Jam.
    • :4stars: DT Mike Mann has committed to USC. He had offers from ASU and TX A&M. Plays much stronger than his 6'1" 260lb frame would suggest. He can clog a lane but dont expect him to run down a ball carrier or really,... anything athletic.
    • :4stars: MLB Travis Culver has committed to USC. He had no other offers. His height scared away all the other programs but USC decided to take a chance on 5'9" Travis. His low center of gravity make him a block breaking machine and an overall headache for opposing offenses. A steal for the Trojans.
    • :4stars: MLB Matt Baker has committed to Wisconsin. He had no other offers. Great speed and acceleration and a nose for the ball. Good in coverage for MLB. Solid pickup for the Badgers.

Haha no need to be sorry about what you said regarding my recruited WR, I'm just happy he's somehow rated #4...I guess he's good at jump balls or something with that height!

    Week 7 & Week 8

    • :3stars: MLB Jermaine Holly has committed to Stanford. A nice addition that has all the skills to develop into a solid MLB. A little work in pass coverage and Holly will be ready for the big time.
    • :3stars: MLB Wendell Fox has committed to Stanford. Not as fast or overall developed as Holly. Will probably be a back-up for most of his tenure unless Stanford uses 3-4.
    • :4stars: WR Sterling Washington has committed to Stanford. Underwhelmig speed but a great route runner with good hands. Very hard to jam at the line and can take punishment over the middle and make the tough catch in traffic. Could turn into Stanford's 3rd down go-to guy.

    • :3stars: MLB Jason Ward has committed to Cal. Great acceleration and has an arsenal of moves to fight off blocks. Is a wrecking ball when he knows whats coming, but tends to get lost in assignments. Will be a good addition when he learns more about his position.
    • :1stars: FB David Benson has committed to Cal. JuCo Soph is a solid run blocker. Better than his ranking shows.
    • :3stars: TE Danny Benjamin has committed to Cal. Solid across the board. Can tend to get jammed at the line as needs to work on blocking footwork.
    • :3stars: SS Marvin Myrick has committed to Cal. At 6'6" he has nice height and jumping ability but is really in need of alot of development.
    • :3stars: TE Will Craig has committed to Cal. Also had offer from Fresno St. Blocking TE that specializes in opening holes for the RB. Needs work on pass blocking and drops.

    • :3stars: G Cornelius Lewis has committed to Iowa. JuCo soph chose the Hawkeyes over Mich St. Really good skills across the board. Another great find by the Hawkeyes.

    • :3stars: T Brent Black has committed to Michigan. Chose Mich over NIU. Will probably be a career backup for the Wolverines.
    • :4stars: OLB Jason Turner has committed to Michigan. Had offers from Tenn and Va Tech. Solid addition to the class with A+ acceleration. Outside of really low awareness, Jason has all the tools. Rated #5 OLB.
    • :5stars: CB Andrew Black has committed to Michigan. Had offers from Alabama, Texas, and Oklahoma but only Michigan also offered brother Brent....hmmmmm. Steller athlete with A speed, A man coverage, B+ play recog. Rated #1 CB.

    • :4stars: MLB Derrick Richardson has committed to Ohio St. Nebraska also offered. Good natural insticts for the ball and will lay the wood. Can cover backs and TE's but needs to work on zone coverage.
    • :4stars: MLB Adam Blount has committed to Ohio St. Tennessee had extended an offer. Another MLB coming in with skills and body (6'3", 247lbs) to play immediately. Rated #3 MLB.
    • :4stars: C Jason Harris has committed to Ohio St. Great acceleration gives him ability to get to LB's quickly. No weaknesses in his game.
    • :4stars: WR Kyle Robinson has committed to Ohio St. A good route runner with good speed. Will probably need a RS and a feew years of coaching, but should turn into a solid WR for the Buckeyes.
    • :4stars: RE Brandon Miller has committed to Ohio St. Offers from Oklahoma and Texas. Dont let the kid's size (6', 229lbs) fool ya, he owns the trenches. If Miller puts on some weight and an inch or two, he'll be All-Big 10.

    • :3stars: ATH Jason McIntyre has committed to Oregon. Not sure where Jason fits into Oregon's plans. Will probably be a QB but D- acceleration means he wont be running Oregon's spread attack.
    • :3stars: T Jeff McNeil has committed to Oregon. Had an offer from Utah. Big, lumbering kid with skills to get him on the field. Will be a starter in a couple years.

    • :3stars: T Andrew Allen has committed to PSU. Good pass blocking skills may not be enough to overcome other deficiences and get him on the field.

    • :3stars: WR Kenneth Powell has committed to UCLA. Not the most adept at actually catching the ball, but does have some decent skills for a kid with his ranking. He could crack the lineup come his JR year.
    • :3stars: FS Andrew Wright has committed to UCLA. A nice overall skill set but very poor tackling may keep him on the sideline for a few years.
    • :4stars: MLB Matt Boyd has committed to UCLA. Also had offers from TCU and Utah. Nothing spectacular but really good acceleration. A solid pickup for UCLA.

    • :5stars: QB Vernon Triplett has committed to USC. He had offers from Ohio St and UCLA. Good pocket skills with the ability to escape and make plays with his feet. A year behind Barkley and Triplett may be ready to take the keys to the USC offense.
    • :4stars: CB Michael Johnson has committed to USC. Also had an offer from Wisc. Only B speed but solid cover skills and good height at 6'2".
    • :4stars: ATH Erik Bean has committed to USC. A great route runner with freakish acceleration make him a probable WR at the next level. Great size as well: 6'6" 231lbs.
    • :4stars: T Neil Bellamy has committed to USC. Long arms and nice footwork make him a prototypical LT. May be All-Pac 10 doen the road.
    • :5stars: HB Darren King has committed to USC. Florida had also offered. The #2 ranked HB has some freakish moves. Do not let this kid get into the open field, you won't lay a hand on him.
    • Jesus has committed to USC.
    • :5stars: TE Donta Rivers has committed to USC. Also has offers from Alabama and LSU. The #1 ranked TE could be an All-American day 1, period.
    • :5stars: ATH Jerome James has committed to USC. #1 OVR ranked recruit has great speed. Couple that with good hands and solid route running and you have the next great USC WR.

    • :3stars: WR Brandon Howard has committed to WSU. B speed with nice ability to catch ball in traffic.
    • :3stars: T Jake Clark has committed to WSU. Needs a few years of development but not a bad signing for as low as Clark is ranked.
    • :3stars: MLB Richard Dorsey has committed to WSU. Needs to work on getting avoiding and getting off blocks before he ever sees any playing time.

    • :3stars: OLB Clint Allen has committed to Wisconsin. Solid skills across the board. Maybe alittle slow for a Big 10 OLB. Above average cover skills.
    • :3stars: DT Brandon Kane has committed to Wisconsin. Decent strength but is undersized for a Big 10 DT and needs development in alot of other areas.

    WEEKS 9 & 10

    • :4stars: WR Courtney Hunter has committed to Iowa. The JuCo transfer will come in with 3 years of elgibility for the Hawkeyes. Solid across the board but could improve on open-field playmaking.

    • :5stars: ATH Jordan Clemons has committed to Michigan. Had offers from LSU, Penn St, Tennessee, Oklahoma, WMU, WKU. Looks to be a FS at Michigan. Solid skills but that 5th star may be pushing things.
    • :4stars: ATH Jason Parker has committed to Michigan. A great route-runner that needs to learn to catch the ball consistently. Will probably redshirt and have to wait his turn to see the field.

    • :4stars: WR Sam Manning has committed to Ohio St. Also had an offer from Cincy. Great top-end speed but lacks acceleration surprisingly for someone of his small stature. Still, he's not just a burner and has nice skills.
    • :3stars: OLB Zach Dickens has committed to Ohio St. Also had an offer from Ga Tech. Needs to learn his position but has great physical gifts.
    • :3stars: QB John White has committed to Ohio St. A Troy Smith clone who, sadly, lacks Smith's escapability. White will excel at sending in the signals for his career.

    • :3stars: ATH Morris Fritz has committed to Oregon. Looks to be a QB at Oregon with average arm strength. Gotta wait till he gets on campus for a further evaluation.
    • :3stars: ATH Reggie King has committed to Oregon. Also had an offer from Neb. Could either be a CB with average cover skills or a reciever with below averaged hands. Pretty good physical skills for his rating.
    • :4stars: WR Jermaine Carey has committed to Oregon. A solid WR for the Ducks. May need a couple years of development but will be a solid contributer.

    • :4stars: DE Jayson Dowdell has committed to Penn St. Had offers from Miami and Georgia. Plays strong and has nice ability to fight of blocks through strength or finesse. Good enough to get snaps freshman year.

    • :3stars: C Drew Roberts has committed to Purdue. Doesn't have overwhelming skills but really good awarness will have him cracking the Purdue lineup in the near future. Solid signing for the Boilermakers.
    • :3stars: HB Cam Utley has committed to Purdue. A power back that uses his stiff arm to fight off blocks. Good route-runner out of the backfield. Another signing that will contribute early for Purdue.

    • :2stars: K Ron Dorsey has committed to Wisconsin. A need position filled by a servicable player, as usual with kickers.
    • :3stars: P P.J. O'Brien has committed to Wisconsin. One of the best at his position and a huge get for a team that looks to control field position.
    • :4stars: HB Jeff Williams has committed to Wisconsin. Great top-end speed and pretty good open field ability. Will probably have to wait to takes White's role.
    • :4stars: HB Mike Preston has committed to Wisconsin. Power back more in the mold of Clay with multiple ways to get past tacklers. When the current RB's leave, look for Preston to fill the void nicely.
    • :3stars: OLB Bobby Griffin has committed to Wisconsin. Chose the Badgers over an offer from Purdue. Good skillset and could develop into a starter.
    • :3stars: WR George Alexander has committed to Wisconsin. Nice speed and open-field ability. Could contibute on special teams before cracking the WR rotation.
    • :4stars: WR Andrew Fowlkes has committed to Wisconsin. The Badgers go into Texas and steal the #6 WR in the nation. Solid prospect that could be deadly on the fade.
    • :3stars: CB Chris Schmidt has committed to Wisconsin. Cover skills not developed enough to start right away, but should mature into a reliable CB for the Badgers.

    WEEK 11

    • :3stars: OLB Alex Johnson has committed to Cal. The JUCO transfer will have 2 years eligibility. Has the skills to come in and start right away. Categorized as a "run stopper" but has better coverage skills than most alot of safeties.
    • :3stars: MLB Ryan Leak has committed to Oregon. Good speed and acceleration give him a head start but is lacking in alot of important categories. Can contribute on special teams but dont expect him to make an impact on the D until he's an upperclassman.
    • :3stars: DE Adam Brooks has committed to Oregon. Also had an offer from Stanford. Good strength and can hold the line. If he adds weight, could be a solid DT for Oregon. If he stays at end, look for him to be a 2-4 sacks a year guy.
    • :3stars: QB Justin Smith has committed to Purdue. Has good heigth at 6'5" and a strong arm (B-). Give him a RS and a few years of development and this could be a future Purdue star.
    • :3stars: T J.R. Lawson has committed to Purdue. Had offers from Minnesota and NIU. Undersized for a tackle but above average skills for a kid of his ranking. Could also be a utility lineman, moving to wherever he is needed.
    • :4stars: ATH Charles Murphy has committed to Purdue. Hard to figure where this kid ends up. Decent skills but not a complete package for any one position. Probably a safety.

    • :4stars: QB Chris Glover has committed to Penn State. Also had an offer from LSU. A true duel-threat with enough skills to threaten you with arm and feet. May not compete for job as freshman but will be under center at some point for the Nittany Lions.
    • :4stars: WR John Gould has committed to Penn State. Okie St had also offered. Great speed and can get open. Needs to develop open-field skills once he has the ball. Will be a staple in the PSU offense for years.
    • :4stars: SS Evan Ford has committed to Penn State. One of the most sought after recruits in this year's class with offers from Neb, UNC, UGA, Aub, Boise and WMU. He doesnt light up the stopwatch but has some tremendous skills. One of the best overall "football" players in the class. Great pickup for PSU.

    • :3stars: SS Justin Gibson has committed to Oregon St. Has all the skills you want in a SS except is alittle slow reading plays. Will be a solid player for the OSU defense.
    • :2stars: P Lee Scott has committed to Oregon St. Decent leg power and accuracy. Very servicable and may even sneak in a tackle or 2.

    • :4stars: RB "Hot" Rod Johnson has committed to Wisconsin. A+ spin move. Wear extra ankle tape.
    • :4stars: WR Drew Alford has committed to Wisconsin. A great route-runner with great speed as well. Can go up high and bring it down. Future starter for the Badgers.

    Week 12

    • :3stars: WR Akeem Henry has committed to Stanford. Good hands for a freshman and recruit of his ranking. Isnt afraid to go over the middle or go up top for the jump ball. Not much of a threat with the ball in his hands, however.
    • :3stars: CB Brigham Ingram has committed to Stanford. Has good speed and athletic ability but dont leave him on an island in man coverage. Is a fierce hitter for his position and has good size at 6'2". If he develops some man-to-man skills he will be a great player for Stanford.

    • :3stars: CB Tim Britt has committed to Cal. Minnesota had also offered. Has the athletic ability, but just needs more seasoning in the coverage department before he sees the field.
    • :3stars: ATH Aaron Matthews has committed to Cal. Also had an offer from Minnesota. DW has him pegged as a CB, but I dont know. Cover skills say safety, tackling says CB. Maybe a free safety. Wherever he ends up he will take his elite-level speed (4.34).
    • :4stars: WR Pete Battle has committed to Cal. Big, tall and tough to hold at the line. Fred Davis type reciever that wont convert to a TE but be a reliable target over the middle.

    • :4stars: WR Brandon Moore has committed to Iowa. West Virginia had also offered. At 6'5", he has a good burst but struggles to get off of bump coverage. Decent route-runner and will mature into a nice player.

    • :3stars: ATH Terrence Mullins has committed to Oregon. Looks to be a D-lineman but where, we don't know. DW has him as a DE but he has the size to be a DT and the block shedding to be successful there.

    • :4stars: ATH Ronald Cooper has committed to Penn State. He has decent skills all around. A little slow to be a great playmaker but could possibly be a CB, WR, or even a RB. DW has him pegged at WR.
