Red Raiders over Baylor 43-29 Despite Baylor RB Jarred Salubi rushing for over 200 yards on 20 carries, Robert Griffin setting the All-Time record for passing yards in a single game for a Baylor QB, and Texas Tech's star running back Harrison Jeffers suffering a ruptured disk early in the third quarter, ending his season, the Red Raiders find a way to get another hard fought win on the road. Texas Tech scored two touchdowns early in the third, when Baylor came roaring back with a 61 yard scoring run by Salubi, and then a 54 yard interception return on Tech's next play from scrimmage. QB Griffin added a TD on a one yard scamper to cap off a 99 yard drive with just 16 seconds left in the quarter, to give Baylor a one point lead. Just when it looked as if the Red Raiders were doomed again, quarterback Steven Sheffield hit an open wide receiver Blake Kelly in stride, over the middle, for a 64 yard go-ahead touchdown. Texas Tech added a late TD to win 43 to 29. It was just Baylor, but a win is a win!
