Pither Johnny Cueto would be perfect thru the 1st 6 innings against the Angels before giving up a hit in the 7th innings. The reds would jump out to a huge lead in this 1. Catcher Hernandez would hit a 2-run homer and 1st baseball Joey Votto would add a 3-run to give the reds a 8-0 lead.

The Angels would rally back and make things very interesting in the 9th inning as they would pull to within 8-5 and have bases loaded with 2-outs. The Reds Closer Codero would finally get the last out to secure the reds 1st win of the season.
