As a reminder - you should not be redshirting a player who would be in your two-deep depth chart based on OVR rating without prior approval from yours truly.

This is your chance to fess up if you've done otherwise and correct it, before I find out on my own and start issuing sanctions.

    That is all.

Two deep? Can't redshirt 2nd best or better, is that what you mean? I will double check tonight as well.

Also I assume this would not apply to K or P right?

Yes, if a player is the 2nd highest rated player at a position (or the 3rd or 4th best at a position like WR or CB) then he generally should not be redshirted without prior approval.

Correct - I'm fine with redshirting at those positions.

Pretty sure I am in compliance because I knew from reading the rules, I just wanted to be sure of what you meant. As said, I will double check tonight and fix depth chart accordingly if I am not in compliance.

I'm good. Don't take those guys anyway to RS. Mostly for injury purposes.

Does this also mean that our top 10 OL can not be redshirted or is it position by position?

Looks like I need to unredshirt some OL and a FS. The FS is the same year as the player above him with an upper class behind him and all seniors at ss position.

if you play these kids you will get the glitch that speeds up their progression ridiculously, atleast in every other years installment. first time i've ever heard of a rule like this so i may have a guy or two...........

That glitch came into my mind too. Guys ratings would shoot through the roof after burning their redshirt.

    I'm fine with that.
It should be position by position. Give me more info on the S's and I can tell you if I'm ok with the one you redshirted.

That glitch only occured last year when you pulled the redshirt during a game-after the guy would still show as redshirted but would progress in awareness each week. If you pull the redshirt from the dynasty page it should be fine (although with this years game who knows).

This rule was in the league description from prior to us starting-not my fault they don't teach the 3 R's in Wisconsin....

I didn't see when I read the rules and I think anyone who broke the rule, myself included should just get sanctions. Not a big deal but if people get ratings boost that would suck. Not too worry I play my good players and all my freshman suck so I'm sure I'm fine.

I'd rather guys fix it now but if you'd prefer people get sanctions we can discuss that.

My thought was that you pull the redshirt - and then we monitor progression on those teams/players - if we start seeing funky stuff progression wise, then those players will need to be removed in the offseason (that would be the sanction if necessary).

Not sure how it could have been missed - there is a separate part of the rules called 'Depth Charts and Redshirting'.

There's nothing fishy with any of my redshirts. They are all crappy freshmen at bottom of depth chart.

I'll check mine tonight though I doubt I have any issues. I gotta play everyone on this team. I know I redshirted my FR QB (he was 3rd on the depth chart).

After reviewing my roster i found out that i am in compliance except for one scenario. I only have two centers on my roster, a senior and a true low rated true freshman. I elected to RS the low rated frosh because i have backup guards that can play a better center than him right now. Hope that is ok.
